Lovely hostel. Clean airy rooms, spotless bathrooms and decent sized pool. alot of attentions to the lovely garden area. Bar was great, fantastic cocktails made by the lovely Amy. Only gripes was there was no real sign of a kitchen area but some parts were still under constuction, and its a little expensive. Still you get what you pay for. Would definately recommend.

Nirvana Hostel Taganga

This hostal is as far from 'nirvana' as you are going to get. The place generally looks poor and neglected, the pool was small, filthy and so over full of chlorine I could smell it in my room. I booked a 4 bed and they shoved another matress on the floor making it a 5 bed. The food was discusting, and they blared loud drum and bass from 2pm onwards. when I made an inquiery at the desk the pouty girl behind the counter ignored me. we had a res for 3 nights but only stayed for one. Dont stay here.

This was a lovely chilled oasis. the rooms were clean and there were plenty of bathrooms for everyone. The staff were pleasant and helpful and although we didnt use it many people recommended the tour office. The courtyard was nice with hammocks and shiatsu massage available at a reasonable price. definatly a place to chill away from the other part hostels in town. only downsides were that it was a little pricey (this was high season)and its on a street thats a bit dodgy at night.would recommend

I loved staying at this hostel, Its not as flash as some of the other's in town but it makes up for this with the wonderful staff, freindly atmosphere and free lemonade! the location is great as its not as frantic as nearby getsamani and all the balconys face onto a pretty square and is not more than 5 minutes walk from the plaza del paz. ould definatly recommend to other backpackers that enjoy a more homey feel to their accomodation than a corprate franchise. only drawback is kitchen: bit basic
