Besides only 1 of 3 computers working and very cramped large dorm rooms, I did like the hostel and it was a great location

The only thing lacking was a desk top computer for people to use but other than that, I loved the hostel. The need to change rooms all the time is a bit ridiculous and they could fine tune their booking system.

Hey Blair, We don't have a laptop, but we have wi-fi available all over and we rent laptops. And yes, unfortunally changing rooms isn't as simple as tuning the system - when it is, of course we do, it's much better for everybody not to make people change room- but it's more a matter of booked people who arrives and who want to stay togheter as groups. and that's how life is, first came, first served ;)

I loved this hostel, it was new and they were doing work on it every day and I could see it is going to be even better. We stayed in the big dorm and were a bit worried but there was so much space, a big bathroom, aircon and loads of fans too. On clear afternoons they would drive you to watch the sunset and there was also a great swimming pool and breakfast. I really hope they do well cause they were so helpful

I love the vibe in the hostel, they cook big dinners every night for cheaper than you will find in Rio. They have a little bar there with cheap drinks and the bar tender is super helpful and friendly. The only thing I really hated was how they crammed so many people into the rooms, 3 levels bunks and with so many in the room I didnt even have space for my bag in the room and ended up leaving it in the hall way which was annoying. Breakfast was really good too.

LOVED the hostel, it was new, clean and cheaper than all the others around there. It was on the main street, the best location. One girl, Krishna was very helpful, the other staff not so much. It would have been nice to be shown a map with basic bits around town and good beaches, etc when we arrived but when we spoke with Krishna (In english), she knew everything. NThey played music quite loudly early in the morning which was a bit dis-respectful but... more time on the beach!!

Worst Che Lagarto we have stayed in. Breakfast ran out and wasn't replenished, wifi never worked, they charge for every little thing and when some guys never came back with the guide from one of the beaches they got held up at gun point. One toilet and shower for over 4 shared dorm rooms!! We moved after 2 nights!

I liked the hostel but I think it could be way better, a lot of potential. When I was there they were doing a lot of work but it seemed to only be to the outside areas and cosmetic. The rooms and bathrooms need a lot of work. They bathrooms feel damp and mouldy as there is no fresh air or natural lights and the bedrooms have air con but only at night and no fans so it is boiling at any time during the day.

I really like the hostel, it was clean, cheap and the area, Villa Madalena was cool and I felt safe. The staff were really helpful and the bar served cheap drinks and delicious sandwiches. The kitchen was good and so were the breakfasts. They offer a free walking grafitti tour which was great!

Small but a really cosy hostel with a homey feel. Computer and wifi was great and so was the breakfast. The owners could help with anything and everything, one of them is a guide which proved very helpful when packing for our trek to the national park. Great value and just around the corner from the free daily info talk at Erratic Rock.

A cool, laid back hostel with a yummy sandwich for breakfast, semi decent cooking utensils and pots, clean spacious rooms and in a really nice area of Valparaiso. The Internet was a bit touch and go but staff were friendly and it had a cute little courtyard which was good to meet other people.

I didn't like that you couldn't use the kitchen after 8pm where everyone eats late in Argentina, not fair to advertise that you have a kitchen when you can't even do dinner. The pool was good but more seating or loungers would be nice, 2 just isn't enough. The Internet didn't work for a while but then it finally got sorted out. The location is perfect as it is near to the bars, good restaurants and the park, it can be noisy although I slept just fine.

Don't expect to be making any mega meals, the kitchen is like a matchbox. Get to breakfast early or you may not get the promised milk with your coffee or fruit. The owner claims to be all family orientated and friendly but when approached she was quite dismissive.

The owner claims to be all family run, etc but was very moody with us. We paid for private with bathroom but only the communal shower had hot water so what's the point on paying for the private when you dont use it. We were there over Xmas and she put a lot of effort in with secret Santa, etc which was nice. Get to breakfast early or else you don't get milk, fruit, etc.

We loved the hostel. They still continued to help us even when we had left and moved in with a homestay. They booked our tour and allowed us to store our bags there on the last day even though we hadnt stayed there for a week. Very helpful, quick laundry, very clean bathrooms and communal areas as well as great chill out areas outside. I would definitely recommend them!!!

We really liked the hostel, the included breakfast was great. There was one guy at reception who was fantastic and super helpful, the others were very average. They had great areas like 2 kitchens and the TV room, etc but the place seems like it needs a good clean out and the kitchen facitlies upgraded and sorted out a little..... a pan with a handle is always a great thing :)

We really liked the hostel, the guy even woke up at 5:30am to walk out with us and get us a taxi which was so helpful. They had loads of information available for entering and leaving Colombia which was perfect for us. The decor was great and the private rooms looked adorable. My mattress of my dorm bed was really thin though and got quite uncomfortable during the night.

We really liked the hostel although there was a lot of building at the time but when it is done I am sure it is going to be great. There are a few finishing touches to be done but I am sure the owner Stuart will get to that when all the building is done. He was very helpful with Cartagena and other hostels too. Even after we had a little incident at the hostel, he had his team on board to help us out and get everything sorted. It would be nice to have some fruit, etc included with the breakfast.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved that we could store our big bags when we went off to Tayrona and Taganga! the pool was clean and great to cool off from the humid caribean heat. The only thing that would be nice is having plug sockets near the beds or in the lockers so we could securely charge our stuff. Other than that it has been my favourite hostel so far!!!
