The staff were really helpful and nice. Love the atmosphere in the hostel with the happy hour and welcome drink served when we first arrived. We climbed quite a bit of steps to get there but it was great experience staying there in general.
Dzemo was friendly and really eager to show us his city. Felt very at home at this hostel and it is so near to the Bascarsija. The whole city center can be reached by walking. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Definitely one of the best I've been at. The ONLY peeve is having to climb up to the 6th floor with luggages since the lift is only accessible by residents in the building. staff were very friendly & helpful, the hostel is clean and with a nice ambience.
GREAT HOSTEL in the old town. The kitchen also made it so much more homey and comfortable. We could cook swedish meatballs and potatos, the noticeboards are filled with travel advice. Loved it!

After reading the reviews was wary to go to Hans Brinker but the service wasn't too bad, and just to crash one night at the Dam it's a great simple and clean place. I stayed in the 6 person dorm, and there were personal lockers, new towel, bedsheets and pillow. The directions said to take tram to reach but we were too cheapskate and walked from Dam square, only 20 mins walk! Only grudge: why no ladder for the bunk bed? knocked my shin when coming down in the morning, owww
We had a private twin ensuite which was pricey but we really enjoyed it. The location is just perfect.
