Smart Sea View Brighton

Brighton, England

I knew exactly what I was getting into when I booked, and this hostel was absolutely fine. The free breakfast was a great addition, even if it was a little limited, and it was a perfectly acceptable place to stay for the weekend. There's just nothing about the hostel which in particularly nice. Pretty average beds and bedding, tiny bathrooms and a fairly grotty building altogether. I'm not saying don't stay there because it was a perfectly good place, just know what to expect when you arrive.

Stayed in the 10 bed dorm and really enjoyed our stay. The pods were awesome, although did get a little bit hot. Really enjoyed finally getting a bit of privacy in our dorm. Everybody was really nice and chilled out, and the breakfast in the morning was a great addition.

MEININGER Salzburg City Center

Salzburg, Austria

A really nice, clean and comfortable hostel, but it comes with a price tag. Admittedly still the cheapest place to stay in Salzburg, but it was expensive nonetheless. Really nice facilities and the staff were really helpful in trying to find places to eat.

Hello! Thank you for your comment! We are glad that you had a nice time in Salzburg! The prices in summer in Salzburg indeed get a little higher, due to high season on the other hand they┬┤re much lower in the low season. We would be pleased to welcome you here in Salzburg or in any other MEININGER again in the future! Best wishes Your MEININGER Salzburg Team

Hotel Villa Panazza

Imola, Italy

Considering what we paid for our room, the hotel was exceptional. A really nice feel to it and really pleasant staff. There's not much going on in the surrounding area, but we found a couple of pizzerias within a 10 minute drive so it was a luxurious stay for a small pricetag.

I specifically booked into a 6 man dorm because, after reading other reviews, that's what it looked like the only way to stay in the tower was. Instead, we got put in a building 200m down the road just myself and my friend in a funny little 4 man room. It was perfectly nice, we just had our hearts set on staying in the tower. I can't express how awesome the town is, I would 100% recommend going, just prepare not to stay in the tower.

Annecy Hostel

Annecy, France

Really cool hostel with a great atmosphere and in an amazing town. Great communal area to hang out in the evening and we were especially excited to have a private balcony in our double room. Couldn't recommend staying here any more! The hostel could do with a vague touch up, but that's by no means a complaint. Awesome place!

CIS de Champagne

Reims, France

A nice simple place about 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. We had a bit of a mix up with rooms but the staff were super nice about it and really helped out. The place didn't have any character but was perfect for an overnight stop. The rooms were a bit cramped but free table football, free wifi and free breakfast more than made up for that.

Hostel Blues

Bratislava, Slovakia

Really great place near the centre of Bratislava. The staff were really helpful and the facilities were great. The hostel organise a lot of stuff which is awesome and their "what to do each day" list is really helpful. We did the pub crawl (not organise by the hostel, just promoted there) which was good fun to the extent that the people were cool but the bars they took us to were awful and so didn't hold up to the famed bratislavian night life. A great stay in the actual hostel though, recommend

Celica Art Hostel

Ljubljana, Slovenia

Staff were very unhelpful. when arriving after booking 2 beds in a 7 bed dorm, we were told that we would have to share a bed with a complete stranger. The room set up is 3 single beds and 2 double beds, the room had 5 people who were all independent of each other and as such we were told that bed sharing is the "Slovenian way". A disgusting attitude and so incredibly disrespectful to their own country.

We deeply regret you consider your experience at Hostel Celica so disappointing and sincerely apologize if you felt mistreated. Due to architectural plans of the rooms and dorms there are couples of beds on certain points positioned one next to another. Being aware that there are many independent travelers coming to the hostel, the recption staff does everything in its power to allocate beds in order none of the guests feels uncomfotable sleeping in them. Unfortunately, it is sometimes impossible to do that, especially when the hostel is fully occupied and the majority of the beds in the dorms are already taken by earlier arrivals. However, we do not share the concept of bed sharing to be the »Slovenian way« and neither have ever promoted it or used it as an excuse or explanation. Please, accept our apology and feel welcome to stay at the hostel anytime you visit Ljubljana again.

Accomodation Drasko

Korcula, Croatia

The woman running the apartments was a lovely woman. She couldn't have been more helpful, she even picked us up from our ferry without us even having to ask her to. The apartment was simple but incredibly nice with a great lounge area right out the front of the apartments where a lot of our day was spent. Really good choice.
