Tasso Hostel

Florence, Italy

Tasso Hostel is a small lovely hostel in the outer area of Firenze, half an hour walk from the main station. The staff is super friendly and social and it is easy to make friends - especially if you are traveling alone. The place have a nice bar, a well-equipped kitchen (which the staff also use) and a cozy backyard surrounded by seasonal herbs. They offer a simple nice breakfast and prices are very reasonable. The rooms are nice but not very soundproof, but the atmosphere makes up for it.

St Christopher's Berlin

Berlin, Germany

St Christopher's Inn is a cheap hostel in the center of Berlin, 5 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. If you are in Berlin for sighseeing and party this is the perfect place, but if you are there to do work, it is important to know that the free WIFI is only available in the adjacent bar of the Hostel (Belushis bar), which means that expecting a someward calm working inviroment and a spot to work at is close to impossible during busy evenings and big sport events.

Fabians Hostel is a super cosy and nice place, with very fiendly staff that will help out in any way possible. The place is very private and secure, and some simple but strict rules makes it a comfortable stay. If you are looking for a super clean, newly renovated place - this is not the place to go. But if you prefer a cheap place with good city center connect which haves a good atmosphere and you can live with an old building, this is the place to go.

The Pillar is a bed & breakfast hostel in the very cheap end, and therefore very affordable. It has a very nice location and you are only 10 minutes walk away from the city action and only 2 minutes away from a big shopping street with endless of shopping malls. The hostel offer a simple standard breakfast and offers what you need when you are not planning on spending much time in your room. But they have low security so unless you are traveling light you might prefer more expensive hostels.
