Chepatagonia Hostel

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

Very nice Hostel that I would always recomend. Only thing I didn't like was that the asado was out of order when we've been there. I guess this the most people would not require anyway

America del Sur Hostel

El Calafate, Argentina

The Hostel is actually built like a Hotel but has a great common area.

Cruz del Sur Hostel

Ushuaia, Argentina

Very nice Hostel that has a nice atmosphere. It is also very central and the important tripps are offered. What I found a little troubeling is that I couldn't access Wifi from my room and there was also no plugs in my room. Besides very nice

Bonarda Bon Hostel

Rosario, Argentina

I enjoyed my stay. The only obvios downside was the limited capacity of bathrooms and showers. One small for like 20 people. Also the breakfast is very limited. Therefore the atmosphere is nice, the hostel is offering different opportunities to explore the City, Party and socialise. The people are very international.

Very inpersonal and full with not-backpackers. I World recommend it for staying not as a spot for cultural exchanges etc

Pamplona Hostel

Sao Paulo, Brazil

The Hostel has a very frendly atmosphere. The hosts are really concerned to build a great community which goes beyond usual expectations. A downside is still that there is no lockers but just the opportunity to lock have stuff locked up (but than not easily accessible). Still the hostel is great for partying as well as being in a good and safe position for city explorations

Carioca Guest House

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Infortunatelly this is not a backpacking Hostel since most people stay for month which makes it hart to find People to explore the City. Also it was anouying that people came and went in the middle of the night and 3 out of 9 were Heavy snorring which is the normal situation since this people also worked there.. Nevertheless the facilities are great, the location is good To cover concorvardo, copacabana and the city and the staff was helpful

Youth Hostel Meetingpoint

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Not really inviting. I stayed in a 16 bed dorm and it wasnt even social. Everybody who showed up was totally done from smoking. Even through there is a common area, its not social because the area iy a pub. There are no plug to charge a phone in the rooms. A locker costs extra. Mine wasnt even in my room. I guess it is a good place to show up with a couple friends with no intent to meet new people

A&O Prague Metro Strizkov

Prague, Czech Republic

The location is a place the almost can not be reached at night times. The Hostel itself looks really unfinished and there is a lot of consfruktion going on. The worst thing is that there is just one key for a room which means that you almost always will be asking the staff for help to go back into your room. In the room there is nothing to lock stuff so basacly everything is down to trust. Spending 5 extra euro for staying in the centre a really good value

Brodies Hostels

Edinburgh, Scotland

The walls are not really thick which makes it quite noisy. Anyway its very centred and therefore good value

Igloo Backpackers Hostel

Nottingham, England

I couldn't sleep because in the 6 man dorm was one guy who was deffinitly to old for a host (>50) who was snoring and farting as crazy. Additionally it was to hot, when you open one of the very old windows in got windy... The Hostel is closed from 3am which makes it hard to go out

At Igloo we welcome ALL travellers and guests, regardless of age, no one is too old to enjoy back packing. The fact that human beings have bodily functions may have been unpleasant for you but this is natural when in shared accommodation and Igloo can not really take responsibility for trumps in the night! As for the wind, again, Igloo can not control Mother Nature and if its windy, it's windy I'm afraid. Our curfew is LATE compared to many many other hostels, the curfew is clearly stated when guests check in. Those who choose to disrespect the rules of the hostel, the other guests and the staff by coming back after the curfew and waking up the whole hostel are welcome to search for accommodation else where. Our private rooms in the new Annexe building are CURFEW FREE, so those wishing to stay out later have the option to do so, as long as they plan ahead and book in advance.
