Easy to walk from the train station, AC & WIFI in the room work brilliantly, tablet in the room for you to use and everything was extremely clean. The owner speaks little English but enough to communicate & her nephew helps her out and is fluent. It's in a great location- about 5 minute walk from the arena! My only complaint would be that breakfast had a lot of packaged goods. Also, if you're traveling solo like me, you won't meet any other travelers but in a B&B you can't really expect to.

This hostel is in a beautiful location but that's one of the only things it has going for it. The food is a good value but everything else was disappointing. I arrived at 7pm and there were no sheets on my bed- supposedly they were 'waiting for them the be delivered'. The 6 bed dorm was cramped and dirty, the bathrooms smelled terrible and were not clean. I know it's a budget hostel but it was gross. Stunning location but I would never go back and I would recommend it to no one. Staff was rude.

Really great location- easy walk from the train station and right across from the water. I was in a 4 person dorm and was surprised by how small it was. You'll have very little 'personal space' but I love that each room has a balcony. If you're arriving by train, go get some food at the Coop before you arrive because everywhere to eat around the hostel is really expensive. Also, bring bug spray because you'll have to sleep with the balcony door open because of the heat.

From the moment I checked in, the staff was great. This is a huge hostel/hotel so it's not the easiest to meet people if you're traveling solo. You have to pay extra for everything but I liked that you could use the computer (2 euro) and the laundry machine (5 euro) - very convenient. It's a 9-10 euro can ride from the train station and then you can take a bus into town. Not sure if I would stay there again but it was inexpensive and fine for what I needed. Also, no AC.

As a solo traveller, I dream about places like this. When it comes down to it, you'd be crazy not to stay here. Spend each morning on the terrace watching the city wake up and spend your evenings getting to know other travelers to the peaceful tune of the river. If you have a chance- go watch Skippy's band play- I promise you will be smiling the entire night. I can't recommend Hostel Skippy more, it is an incredible place and I can't wait to go back. Thank you for everything Skippy and Olga :)

I was in the 8-person female dorm on the top floor and floor and it was great! The room was spacious and bright so I never felt crampt. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I am traveling solo and it was very easy for me to meet people in my dorm to go explore with. For the amount you pay, I think this hostel is a great deal! It's less than a 5 minute walk to the water and a 10-15 minute walk to old town.

We stayed in the 2-bed private room on the 3rd floor which was nice for safety reasons but we could still here things going on in the room next to us (I heard every word of some guy's late night Skype call). There was a sink in our room which I appreciate - and a window that we opened all night but didn't help to bring cool air in (we visited during a heat wave and it as miserably warm). The common areas are large and it is easy to meet other travelers. Didn't get the best vibes from the staff.

This wasn't a bad hostel- just be aware of the atmosphere you're walking into. It's definitely a party hostel and if you're in one of the bigger rooms (we were in a 12 person room) it will be difficult to sleep unless you pass out after a long night. It's very secure- there's big cages under the bed you can fit a large suitcase/backpack in and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The bar area makes it really easy to meet people and the smoking room is a unique feature. Have fun!
