This is a really good hostel its clean for the most part but the showers and toilets are a bit old. The rooms were clean and I appreciated the aircon which was run during the evening so you could get to sleep in the heat. The location was good for me I dont mind that I wasn't right in the central city. The area Joo Chiat is quite nice in itself and theres lots to eat around and you can always walk to the beach which is awesome for a sunset!! Thanks for all your insider tips i had a great stay :)

Really nice clean hostel, my window was looking out to the water which was so lovely. The staff are very helpful, it is probably the best hostel in venice but you do pay for that. Location was good for me but i dont mind walking though the gorgeous streets of venice to get to my destination, thats half the fun. Thanks guys :) I will reccommend to all i know!

Staff here are SIMPLY WONDERFUL!! They helped me so much with everything even suggestions for my trip over to Turkey!! The reception is not 24hours but they will make sure another guest is available to let you in if you arrive late. Possibly this is just a winter thing though. Also is no lockers in the rooms. They gave me just a small heater to put beside my bed on the second night but my first night with a guest showing me the room I had nothing and was a bit cold. But I was happy with my stay

Great hostel! Really warm and helpful staff! One free beer every night! It was comforting to see that when one of the guests had to go to (the ill-equipped) hospital the staff were good enough to sit with her the entire night to make sure she was ok and explain what was going on to her. Great atmosphere, safe (lockers for each person) and close to the centre! Would recommend it to anybody!

I came to Lagan's just for one night and was hoping to use their laundry facilities.... which they advertise....but don't have. One of their bathrooms was not working the next one was on the next floor up. I would imagine just two bathrooms would be a problem were it busier!! The breakfast is only available 8-10 so because I was leaving at 7:30 they couldn't offer me anything. Another reason I chose Lagans.. but they didn't come through. Location is also not close to centre. Wouldn't reccomend.

Hi Couple of things. Breakfast is advertised as 8 to 10 only! As its very quite we desided to shut down one bathroom out of 6 for renovations. That still left one bathroom for every 2 people in the hostel on the night. And lastly we do have laundry facilities. But if you wait and expect us to put all laundry on hold to get yours done in less than and hour we cant do that. Sometimes other people also want to use our facilities and first come first serve seems to normally work.

The staff were really good. With a good knowledge of the area. They have some great tours which come and pick you up right from the hostel which is convenient. Cleanliness was great! Its not got the kind of atmosphere to meet people but I ended up meeting the people in my room anyway. I do have to mention that I was not very impressed to be in the same room with an older man usually by myself majority of the time. Maybe you should look at better suiting room mates. No lockers in the room :(

We would like to thank this guest for her recent stay and subsequent review. Her kind ratings and comments are very much appreciated. In relation to the issue with the rooming - the guest booked a bed in a mixed dorm, therefore there is a possibility of males and females sharing. The first night the room was full with a mix of guests. All guests departed on the second night and this guest and the "older man" shared the room for another 2 nights. If the guest had of brought her issue to our attention we would have been more than happy to change her room or even her room type to a female dorm. Having said that, the "older man" is a regular guest and a very nice approachable man. He gets on great with all the staff and more importantly with fellow guests. Also he's got some great local knowledge of Galway and is always good for an 'auld yarn'! That's correct, there are no lockers in the rooms. However, Sleepzone is a very safe and secure hostel. There is a luggage room just off reception with lockers where belongings can be left prior to check-in and after departure for free. Many thanks, Paraic - Manager.

Lovely stay here, staff are wonderful big thankyou to Susan who really made my stay! Room and kitchen were very clean the room, bedroom smelt a bit damp but i think thats just because of the ensuite bathroom and in the winter probably unavoidable. Thankyou for making my stay in Kilkenny as good as it possibly could be

For the basics this place is really good its clean and there are lockers for each bed and there is a breakfast every morning between 8-10am. I had the warmest greeting during the day from staff. Loved that they organised a Sangria Night however the night shift guy completely let it down. Wasn't friendly, helpful and didnt come through with any ice breaker-y/meet and greet sangria night. Overall though i would still reccommend it as a good hostel.

I loved my say here! It's close to the metro, the staff are really really nice and helpful and it's clean! The atmosphere was good and there were plenty of tours/night activities/pub crawls to get you meeting people. I regret not staying in Madrid longer, I felt like there was much more to see had I taken a few tips from the guys at front desk! Breakfast is certainly not much and runs out fast, so i wouldn't count on it.

The rooms were clean. Staff were good people in the hostel a good crowd. The Hostel is a LONG way from the city centre if you spend a couple of days there you realise you start spending alot of time on the S bahn! Also the wi-fi cuts in and out for hours at a time and the main area outside of the bar has the worst evelator music playing all the time its really bad for before a night out!!!

I really liked staying here. It was clean, everyone was really friendly and helpful. It sucks that there isn't a kitchen or a place to chill out apart from the pub down stairs but it was ok and wifi in the rooms was good although i had an interesting shower one night because the shower head sort of sprayed over my head and i had to catch the water when i went to another one the next night it was fine:) REALLY easy to locate right next to the tube station.

Firstly, this is not a hostel. Its a pub. There is no where to go and nothing to do apart from go to the pub downstairs which is full of older locals. The staff were rude. They said that if i came back after the pub had closed i could enter though the gate at the back but when i got there it had a huge padlock and i couldn't get through. No wifi and a long walk from tube station. Its clean but i wouldn't stay there again. Also check out is between 10-11am not before as there's no one there.

Hello, you can Check out of any hostel or hotel at any time you want to. .and must places are Before 12 midday ? You have paid your bill before you stayed. So if therefore if there is no one around. Its no problem for you to leave. Just leave your key in the Room..? You also have access to and from the hostel 24hrs a day. How did you get in .If the padlock on the gate ? Also many hostels in London are above Pubs. This is why it is cheap to stay in them in London. . Also '' There is no where to go '' ??? ???? Lots. you are in london. . . And if any staff were rude to you. There must have been a reason for it . . However Thanking you for your reply.

good location, not much to do in the hostel so you only can go to the bar. Take a Lock for the locker and be ready to climb some steep stairs for the CHILL OUT ROOM which is at the very top. Breakfast finishes early

The staff we wonderfully helpful, and quite aware of the happenings of the hostel. The rooms were clean, The bathrooms were good but the toilets in the seperate cubicles were very yuck. But the ones with the showers were fine, very clean. The band, bar and bowling lanes which were noisy on the ground entrance, were not an problem with getting to sleep, although i was on the second floor. Would stay here again :)
