This is a fine place to stay visiting Dubrovnik. The bus will take you straight to the old town within twenty minutes and the beach is a five minutes walk away. It will provide you with all that you need. The bath room was a bit smelly though.

Very nice place with a pleasant inner court where it is easy to meet fellow travellers. Very clean and well organized.
This perfectly located (just between the main station and the palace) accomodation provides you with all that you need as long as you are not a 5-star-hotel-traveller. It is a bit hard to find, situated at the top floor of an old style apartment building.
We had a very friendly and warm welcome in this all that you need guesthouse. It is located slightly uphill from the town centre. It is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The roof terrace is a great place to hang out and have a few drinks prior to going to the bigger parties downhill.
This hostel is a nice place to stay. The inner court is good to hang out. Rooms are a bit tiny.
This place is perfect for a couple or a small group of friends visiting Budapest. It's located right in the heart of the city centre and provides you with all that you need. It's not really a hostel in the 'hanging in the common room/ meeting people' way, but if that's not what you're looking for: go there! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are basic, but very clean and sufficient, and the prices are very affordable.
This truly party hostel is situated in a beatiful old style villa, located close to the Balaton lake. The place is particularly fit as a hostel, thanks to the spacious inner garden (where the BBQ is often lit) and the former wine cellar which now serves as a sound proof drinking/ party/ hang out place. The staff is great, in particular manager Joel will help you where he can and will make you feel totally at home!
It's small hostel with four rooms in total, located a bit out of the city centre. It's situated in a classical apartment building with a very specious courtyard. The owner is a very friendly and easygoing guy.
Antwerp Backpackers Hostel is a very good and pleasant place to stay. The owners have arranged all the way a proper backpackers should be, thereby drawing on their own extended backpacking experience. All the facilities you'd need are provided for and work well. The only small disadvantage of staying here is that the hostel is a bit away from the city centre. However the whole town is very easily accessible by tram, bus or bike (bikes are easy to rent anywhere in the city at very low price).
Doors hostel is a very nice base for visiting Bucharest. It's located in a spacious, historic building and provides really good dorm rooms, a proper bar and free breakfast. Location is a bit away from the city centre, but not further than a 10 minute walk. It's 5 min to the nearest metro station (direct line to Gara de Nord: central railway station).
Rolling Stone Hostel is a very nice place. Good common room, clean proper beds and free breakfast.
Hostel Mostel in Veliko Tarnovo is a proper hostel with a nice atmosphere. The location is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The only minus is that on this site you are informed that breakfast and dinner are included in the price, but after you've booked you'll learn that this is different when your total per night is under EUR 8,-. In my case the cheapest dorm was EUR 7,40 and for adding b&d I had to pay EUR 2,50 extra. Ennoying and stupid, because they don't need such tricks.
Hostel Mostel in Sofia is a very nice play to stay! Great common room where you can hang out for days (or weeks in my case), fine dorms and warm showers. Especially the atmosphere created by both the staff and other travellers (it seems to be packed throughout the year) make it a great place to spend time!
Excellent hostel with friendly staff. The location in Sultanahmet is great, and the top floor in-hostel bar (serves beers) and the proper breakfast provide the finishing touch!
Good hotel in the city centre. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you're travelling alone, than perhaps there are better place to meet others, because it's a real hotel.
Very nice hostel, good atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. The location is great for visiting the Galata/Taksim area. From the hostel it's easy to reach Sultanahmet and the Asian shore as well.
The hostel is clean enough and the location is good, but for the rest there's no reason to go here. The staff of this place don't know how to spell the word atmosphere. They are grumpy and very uninterested. Prices are also relatively high to many better hostel in Istanbul.
Istanbul Hostel is a proper and clean place with friendly staff. In winter the only problem is that they don't have a properly warmed common room, so if you want to be warm and inside, you'll have to go somewhere else. If you just come to the Hostel to sleep and will be out all day, than it's a good place. Also in summer it must very nice to hang out on the roof terrace.
