As other reviewers has said, this hostel is pretty far out from Munich city, but it has a charm and vibe that you will not get from your typical multi-storey huge large party hostels. Nick and his staff were super friendly, and beyond exceptional! If you're staying in Munich for more than a couple of days, do come here!
A very nice and clean hostel, very friendly and helpful staff, nice bar/cafe downstairs where you can mingle. The only problem was wifi can be extremely slow and very inconsistent, sometimes isn't able to even connect, especially in the rooms and the kitchen.
I chose this hostel purely because of the location to the embassies. It's also very close to the Castle/church. Otherwise it's only 10 mins walk through charles bridge to Old town, and even shorter walks to many pubs and cafes. One staff was a little useless and doesn't seem to care, while the other (Pavel) was friendly, kind, awesome, and makes up for it. It's definitely not a party hostel, but a nice clean place to retire if you wanted a quiet night. Wifi is also excellent.
This place basically has everything you want in a hostel - great location, lockers, wifi, clean showers toilets and bed. The free breakfast was nice, and having it on the terrace makes it even sweeter.
I really enjoyed my 3 nights stay at Valenki Hostel. Olga and her team were very helpful, everything was very clean and neat, and the hostel was a really nice to return to relax at the end of the day. The location is perfect on the circle line, and it's close to many shops, supermarket, and the metro. I would stay here again when I'm back in Moscow.
The only reason to stay at this hostel is for the location from the Beijing central train station, particularly if you have to catch an early train the next morning, or arriving really late - and that's it. With a little effort you can find better hostels at cheaper prices in Beijing. The staff were pretty rude and made me to feel like I was inconveniencing them by giving them money. Wifi (sometimes) only works in the bar, and you tend to feel pressured to buy a drink or leave.
This is a good hostel - good location, very close to a metro, clean, nice beds, and a cosy bar to meet other travellers. The only beef I have is only one wifi access per device per guest - a little inconvenient if you need wifi on a phone and tablet/laptop.
The winning hand in this hostel is the staff. The girls will help you immensely in helping you with all your needs in Guilin and its surrounding towns. They all speak excellent English and are very friendly. Excellent facilities, even a dedicated wifi for accessing FB and Youtube. Try their dumplings, cheap and tasty! Also their coffee in the mornings.
The only and cheapest place to stay in Hong Kong. Great staff, great facilities, clean rooms and excellent atmosphere. I had wonderful time and many stories to be had here! Book here and you'll do yourself a huge favour.
I had a fantastic time, great people, very comfortable and clean. Many stories to be had at this place!
Very nice staff and great location with an extraordinary view to boot! The common area has potential to be vibrant, but it depends on luck and who happens to stay at the hostel. Only thing to note is that if you plan to go out at night, you better be back before midnight or stay out till the next morning, because you'd have trouble getting in the front door without waking up the security guard and upsetting him.
Secure lockers available would be good.
