The hotel was very nice and quiet, and rooms extremely tidy, cosy and comfortable. However, the place was a bit difficult to find, since in the lobby of New Lucky House there was no English sign for K & B Hostel. So maybe you could add that for foreign visitors!
The hostel was quite shabby and overpriced, which showed everywhere: compulsory payment for 3 nights minimum (even if you'd only stay for 2 nights), 50 dollar key deposit, safety lockers only available on extra payment... in Auckland, there are much better options available at the same rate.
The rooms were very cosy and tidy, and the location was excellent. However, the hostel was very noisy - we weren't even there in weekend, but still there was a lot of running around in stairs and corridors at night, lould talking and shouting, even singing... The place only calmed down after the Lava Bar closed for the night. The distant noise in the bar didn't bother us, but the staff should have required silence in the actual hostel premises after midnight - now they did nothing about it.
