Came to the hostel intending to spend three nights. However, upon arrival we discovered that the room we booked had 16 beds - not 8. Also, the 15% deposit we paid via Hostelworld seemed to be ignored. We complained to the manager, who insisted that 8 bunk beds with two beds each counted as 8 beds and claimed that the 15% deposit was all taken by Hostelworld. So I had to spend some time explaining to the dude how the system works before we finally got our money back for nights #2 and #3.
SECURITY: Decent. No hassle to get in at night. LOCATION: Not bad, not great. 30 minute walk to the city centre and close to metro. Surronding area was decent, but not spectacular. STAFF: People at front desk were mostly friendly. Others who worked at the hostel did not seem to speak english. ATMOSPHERE: Bar staff were nice, but the bar was very low-key. ROOM: Lamp in room was broken. Door handle fell off. Electricty shortout during visit. BREAKFAST: Included, but ended at 10 - not 10:30.
Best staff ever. So helpful and laid back. Yeah, it wasn't the cleanest place I've stayed at, but hey, it is a party hostel. Though as such, it was surprisingly quiet come nighttime, which was appreciated.
A smaller, cozy, hostel - perfect for meeting new people. Helpful staff. The neighborhood didn't strike me as the best, but I never encountered any problems.
Nice and secure hostel, but not terribly exciting. Hostel bar seemed rather dead during the days I spent there.
