Great atmosphere for single travelers and great location. My only complaint is the location of power outlets in the rooms. Some rooms have very few and most are located behind the beds, so it is awkward to try to charge your devices unless you are assigned to one of the bottom bunks with an outlet behind it.
This place was better than I expected it to be. The staff is pretty cool and they offer a lot for a low price. I didn't expect to get any sleep at all in a 100 bed dorm, but it was quieter than I expected, especially after 1am. Pros: free lockers, hot showers, nightly campfire, free blankets, free wifi, located in a beautiful park, plenty of common space, and games/sports equipment to rent. Cons: Wifi connection was not always reliable and it is far from city center, but right near a tram stop.
Just a basic hostel. Great place to stay if you just need a cheap place to sleep and don't plan to hang around the hostel to meet people. Internet is not free. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the old town.
This place is amazing! Free wifi, free water and tea, free breakfast, lunch and dinner service available, free lockers, and a great location inside the town wall. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. It is a great place for families and single travelers. The building is so beautiful and historic. There is a washer and dryer available for guest use. It is very peaceful and comfortable. Yes, you must pay extra if you don't have a youth hostel member card, but it is well worth it!
This hostel is in a great location, right in the old city and a few minutes walk from the main train station. Free lockers in the rooms. Wifi is not free, you must pay extra. The rooms were pretty small, but there are common areas to hang out in. There is a kitchen available. It was not so easy to meet people here. Bring ear plugs because there are noisy bars and restaurants nearby. Overall, I had a really good stay here. You can't get any better for location.
This place has a great atmosphere and it is easy to meet people. You can't beat the price. I was very unsure of staying in a 100 bed tent, but it turned out just fine. Everything quiets down by 1am and I was able to sleep. The bonfire every night is great. The only thing that is not so great is the location, but the tram runs all night.
This is a great hostel. I stay every time I come to Dublin. There is a great atmosphere and it is easy to meet other travelers. Some of the great things are the staff, free breakfast, location (right next to main bus station and around the corner from main train station), free wifi, and great common areas. The only not so great thing is that it cost extra to use the lockers (2euro per day). I have never had a problem with anything staying here.
