a great place to stay especially catering to a big group of volunteers. lovely place to relax with a huge bar and lounge area and they do food as well. slight mix up with out booking on arrival but accommodating and fit us all into rooms.

nice hostel if you want to party and seems to be full as people do the really expensive and overrated castaway trip from. dorm rooms were a bit small for 8people and the shower rooms were mixed. if you are on the 2nd floor you can hear the bar downstairs. breakfast is 3options basic but good. would not book the overpriced castaway trip as ridiculously expensive you an find a similar trip for backpackers from any of the agencies down the road for half the castaway price.

a good hostel to base yourself in hoian. did not realise thay it was about 20mins walk from the old town and 30mins to the bars on the otherside of the river. quite far!! staff were so unorganised with everything-check in and out, beds and rooms not cleaned, i had to change room as i could jot find a spar4 bed and we even got back one night at 4am to find a bed in our room double booked again!! plus side a good backpacker feel and amazing buffet breakfast!!!

good hostel seemed a bit unorganised and staff were always running around asking people if they were moving out and to pay bills. no staff working in the evening just security staff so when i arrived i couldnt really plan anything till the next day. dorms were quite small and they were strict about locking everything in a locker (a few people had stuff stolen so make sure u leave everything in lockers). clean dorm rooms and pool.

huge hostel with a 20bed dorm. dorm was really spacious and consisted of 3rooms with no doors between then, so i was in basically a 4bed dorm. staff were lovely and helpful but a bit to pushy with trying to make us go on the pub crawl. food was really expensive. bar upstairs is a goos place to chill and meet people, bar closes at 11pm so people can get some sleep!

great hostel food a bit pricey but kind of expected. would stay here again, arrived early in the morning and was allowed to use one of the private rooms to freshen up after my overnight bus ride :)

good hostel to stay in, easy to find, staff were helpful with everything to do in the area. all the facilities u needed for a hostel-clean kitchen, enough bathrooms and showers, laundry and a small common area. there is a 7/11 just around the corner which is useful!

loved this hostel! one the best I've stayed in! feels like home, such a small family atmosphere. they have free laundry and space for cooking, plus free coffee and tea :) in a fantastic location next to lots of little cafe's and a night market. really close to the mrt station as well. was really clean and tidy the only downside was that there was only 2bathrooms so expect to queue in the mornings or enjoy a lie in at the weekends. during the week it was pretty quiet but the weekends were busier.

pretty standard hostel by my standards. a bit of a walk to the main sights but the facilities were great and what you expected from a hostel in singapore. quite noisy at night and the top floor design does seem to make it feel like you are in a huge dorm room as you can hear what is going on in the other rooms next door.

thought it was a good hostel but i have stayed at better, the woman on reception did not have much english so was not much help when we were trying to work out where to go. booked a 4 bed room and were put in the wrong room. also the lockers were not in the rooms but downstairs. there was a good sitting area downstairs and good facilities although it took ages to get any food which we ordered.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Firstly we would like to thank you for staying at Deejai and secondly we would like to address your comments. As regards to the woman at reception not having much English this could well be true depending on which staff member you were talking to. There are however 2 native English speakers on hand so we are sorry you were unable to speak to either of them. As per your comment about booking a 4 bed dorm and therefore being given the wrong room this is just a little confusion. Hostel World have recently set the default level of beds in dorms to 4, our dorms however as it states in our description are only 3 bed with the lockers in the store room covered by 24hr CCTV. Sorry your food to to long to arrive, we will look for ways to improve this in the future. Thank you again for staying at Deejai, we hope the rest of your trip is an enjoyable one.
