Well designed hostel with everything you need for a great trip in Cape Town. Excellent breakfast. Home away from home while traveling - definitely recommend it

Nice facilities in hostel. Kitchen wasn't that well designed as there was not enough bench space, and the communal computer was not working. Beds comfortable, and hostel well located with parking in front. Good fresh fruit for breakfast.

Aldeia Hostel

There weren't many people staying in the hostel, but the communal areas were spacious and well equipped. It was a bit cold there as it's in an open space. The owners were very nice and helpful and can speak some english. Rooms were comfortable, with own powerpoints, shelves and lights for each bed.

The staff were very nice, although some don't speak much English which is fine. They didn't have my reservation information so checking in wasn't smooth. The hot water in my room was a bit hit and miss - had better showers elsewhere after day activities. My bathroom didn't have a blackout curtain either so would have been visible from the street, even when sitting on the toilet - had to put an extra towel to feel comfortable using it. Location bit far from town but very close to bus terminal

Backpackers San Pedro

The staff were exceptional - very helpful and friendly. Even the cleaning staff were nice and they clean the bathrooms 3-4x daily which is so nice. The communal area is great to meet people and the kitchen is good, but has slightly limited bench space. Place is a bit hard to find first time so make sure to check emails for the introduction email for directions. Location is close to town and was ok to walk at night - some people may not feel completely comfortable walking at night though

Staff were very helpful and most can communicate some english. Bathrooms clean, but shower leaked everywhere as there was no edge to the shower. Location was a bit further from main area but walkable. Doesn't feel unsafe at night, but is definitely less busy than other areas, so know where you are heading if you go out at night.
