Over the past month I have stayed in loads of hostels all over Canada. I have to say this was by far the worst. The hostel is located in an old building which is maintained poorly. The hostel is absolutely discausting. They have pigeons and rats/mice in the building. There are to few showers and toilets and they are very dirty. When we notified the staff about the facilities the receptionist was very rude and kept interrupting. Would not recommend this place at all.
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback on your stay with us. We are sad to hear it was more on the unpleasant side as we strive to make it a great stay for each and every single guest of ours. We do have pigeons on the outside however, we have well taken care of the mice situation we had last year, in case you should have happened to spot one please let front desk know next time so we can get right on that issue. So sorry to hear that our staff has not helped you the way you deserve and they are supposed to, we will address this internally. Cheers!

Absolutely loved this hostel. Feels a lot safer than most of the hotels and it's a great way to meet other travelers. Nice free breakfast and the place is very clean. Amazing staff, very helpful!!

Stayed at a few different hostels in Auckland and was pleasently surprised by finally finding a nice clean hostel in the city! and no bunkbeds in dorm!

Very few showers and toilets, small kitchen other than that ok. They should clean up one of the gardens more often. Even though no one uses the garden, used condoms aren't a nice view

A few blocks away from the waterfront, perfect hostel if you want to have a good night sleep to do the tongariro crossing. Kitchen is good, nice staff. And no bunk beds in our room! :)

Not your standard hostel. about 10 minutes away from the city center. Lovely place, nice garden and a very clean place. A good place to recoop yourself if you just been to crazy Queenstown.

They should pay more attention at cleaning, especially for the price of the beds
Hi Louise, thanks for your feedback. We have a team of cleaners on 24 hours per day who constantly clean our communal areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms as well as housekeeping for the rooms during the day. Sadly not everyone cleans up after themselves so there can be temporary mess however our awesome team of Nomads Helpers keep ontop of this. Glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay and the amazing place that is Queenstown. All the best for your future travels :)

The rooms where absolutely discausting, even after a room change it still wasn't like it should be. By far worst base hostel I've seen so far.. A disappointment

Hostel is close to the beach and main shopping area of south beach. They organize a lot of things so that you can meet fellow travelers and have a good time. A lot of people from the states stay here just for the weekend as well. It's a party place.

Little outside the city center but that shouldn't stop you from staying there. One of the most social hostels I've stayed at in America. Never a dull moment!
