Oxford Backpackers Hostel

I stayed for 3 nights while looking for a permanent accommodation. The room was ok: not very pretty, but with wooden floo, clean, comfortable mattress but the pillow was disgusting. The kitchen is fairly new and big but doesn't have a window, hence gets a smelly and warm. The common room is nice (pool table, sofas, dining tables). Things I didn't like: £6 deposit (above the usual £5) for the bigger locker, which you want cause the one in the room is very small, and £1.8 charge for card payment

It was the second time I stayed there, and was very good. Staff very helpful, room and shared spaces very clean. I had a quiet room facing the street and slept perfectly. Towels and breakfast included, pub crawl on Wednesdays and you can borrow a locker (free of charge) from the reception. The location is just brilliant, and I'd say that everyone seemed pretty friendly and relaxed. Remember that there's a £5 deposit, and £1 fee if you want to pay by card.

Amazing location just behind the castle. The common spaces are big and clean, and there's a friendly atmosphere all around. They offer breakfast for £1.80 (1 glass of juice, 1 bowl of cereals, 1 bread roll + spreads), and coffee and tea are always free. Every bed has its own metal locker inside the room, and there's a 24h reception. No locker in the luggage storage room though. Free wi-fi everywhere but you have to pay to use the common PCs. I would definitely recommend this hostel :)

It really lacks some common space to socialize with the other travellers, and a kitchen too. Also, it is not acceptable to run out of hot water after just 2 showers! Anyway, it is a cheap accommodation in a pretty central location so for a short stay is ok.

Good accommodation near the city centre. The building is new and very stylish too (rather cold maybe). It feels more like an hotel than a hostel though..don't you expect to meet new people there, also no kitchen available. breakfast included!
