Babilonia Hostel

The location of the hostel is great, halfway between downtown and the arty district of Guemes. The common area has several sections with different vibes, and overall a good place to hang out. Wifi is good. The kitchen has only basic resources. The private rooms are small and in need of a refurbishment plus painting; foam mattress. There are only three bathrooms for the whole hostel, so there can be queues. Staff were across the scale from sufficient to excellent. Cleaning could be better.

The location of the hostel is great and the staff very helpful. The rooms are spacious, and those with private bathroom are particularly nice. The rooms on the street (without bathroom) can be noisy though due to the cobbled streets, but the beds are comfy, so overall a good night's sleep. The rooms are clean, and cleaned daily, which is great. The hot water proved troublesome, which was disappointing given the price, but in the end this was resolved via an appropriate discount. Coffee is great!

Host is fabulous, with calm, clear Spanish (and English), with heaps of information and tips about the area. It was nice that he cultivated a Spanish speaking environment amongst lots of native English speakers. Location is great. Main common room is cosy in its set up, but a little too cold for extended stays indoors. Great start to our stay in Bariloche.

Great stay (1 week in double room) in very atmospheric building with great hosts. Garden is lovely, inside is very cosy, local information by staff is fabulous - above and beyond! Very, very clean. Can get a bit rowdy in the late afternoon with kids running in and out of English classes and furniture being dragged around downstairs. Would definitely recommend to others and have already done so.

The staff were really great and made a very positive impact on our stay. We stayed in two apartments. The one in Borelli St is perfectly located, with great facilities, loads of atmosphere, internet, and easy access to staff. If the bed were more comfortable, it would have been perfect. The second apartment in the main street (the triple) was less cosy, although still a good standard, and the bed was much better. More info online about the differences between apartments would be great.

Wake Up! Sydney Central

A little disappointing that there were so many 'extra' charges, such as no included WiFi or luggage storage. Once paid for, these services were, however, convenient to use. The room needed a vacuum and the ladies bathroom could have done with more frequent cleaning. There were also many unwashed dishes in the kitchen (which speaks more to the sense of community than the cleaning staff).
