Little Hanoi Hostel, Hanoi, Vietnam
10.0
5th Aug 2013

Enjoyable experience here, close to a lot of the Hanoi attractions and good eating locations. Rooms are comfortable and clean, though some may be a way up stairs. Breakfast is provided, along with coffee and tea the whole time. Staff are friendly, personable and accomodating and will help out with directions, taxis and general information.

Oyama Guesthouse, Kyoto, Japan

Great staff really set the tone for the place, really relaxed trip. Staff can speak English, Japanese and Korean, though the latter two are a little stronger. You can get them to cook you up some Korean (sometimes a kind of Korean Japanese fusion) meals for dinner. There's one or two stops between Kyoto station, but it's quick enough to get there. They do charge electricity, but I think it was something like 300Yen (less than $3 American) for us, and that's with forgetting to turn off the heat.
