It is really a hotel with mostly Brazilian couples with kids. The rooms are nice, so is the grounds. The location though is a bit out of the way (it is not where it says on the hostelworld map, it is actually further left where there are no more roads).
This is an ok hostel with nice people.
Good place with friendly people and good rooms that they were painting to make it look a bit more fresh again. It is a bit hotel like so not really a place to meet other people.
Great hostel with great staff. The breakfast is also very nice, only comment is that the location is a bit out if the way. It is close to a subway station though and walking around in the neighbourhood never felt unsafe. There is an excellent sushi place very nearby ;-)).
Since we found underwear (dirty?) under our bed we decided to leave after 1 night.
This is a nice place with a sociable bar to hang around. The double room with shared bathroom is actually a room with a bunkbed (like a 2 people dorm). We didn't expect that but we could move to a matrimonial after 1 night which was fine.
This is an ok place to stay for 1 night. Nice and talkative owner.
This is one of the best hostels we stayed at during our 7 months in South America. The owner is a great guy, very helpfull. The same goes for the rest of the staff. After 1 day they all know your name and the way you like your eggs at breakfast. The loctaion is nice, about 5 minutes walking to the main plaza (back is 10 minutes because it is a bit of a climb ;-)).
This is a nice place to stay 1 or 2 nights. The staff is very friendly.
The hostel is next door to a basketball field which was very loud until about 11:30pm. There was a help yourself breakfast in the kitchen which looked like it had just exploded.
Good place for 1 night after a 3 day trip from San Pedro. You don't want to be longer in Uyuni anyway.
We just stayed here for 1 night in march. The lady was very nice and could book a trip to the pinguins national park for us for the next day which was perfect. The living room is a great place to talk with other travellers.
We were there in march and there were no (or very few) other guests. That made the atmosphere a bit dull. The hostel is new and therefore nice and clean. The location is nice, close to the action. Only the last block walking back at night can feel a bit uncomfortable but we never experienced any problems.
The hostel is nice and in a safe area. The atmoshere is relaxed with a big table where everybody has breakfast and gets together in the afternoon. A lot of the rooms are adjacent to the common area which makes it not the best place to sleep in but that was not a problem for us.
This was the best hostel we stayed so far. The atmoshere is excellent especially during the free wine hour. The garden is a very good place to just hang around and meet other travellers. We ended up staying here for a week.
We have spend 3 nights here and the hostel is fine. It is a bit pricey but that's probably just El Chalten. When there's a View of Fitz Roy you can see it from the hostel which is nice. The breakfast that got delivered to the room on the night before we left (because we left early) was a very nice touch.
We really enjoyed the hostel. The staff is excellent and the communal area has a good vibe. It can get a bit noisy during the daytime, rooms in the back are more quiet. The location is a bit out of the centre but it is only a 10 min. walk. We would definitely stay here again.
