an okay hostel in a fairly good area. rooms were small with beds very close together and no lockers. staff were friendly enough. kitchen was always a mess and the bathrooms weren't always great. breakfast was very good.

Owners were very friendly and helpful, one of them drove me to the bus terminal himself as he couldn't get me a taxi! They were great over Xmas, organising a big dinner. Kitchen is good, beds are okay, bathrooms could be a bit cleaner. location is good, Natales is small and easy to get around. they do have lockers but it can be difficult to get one if everyone has left their stuff while they're in torres del paine. good laundry service.

A great hostel with a good atmosphere. be prepared to be woken early by the sunshine though (no curtains) and hope that you don't have any noisy neighbours as the walls are very thin! (but this is to be expected in a palafito). No lockers. small but well equipped kitchen.

hostel is in a safe residential area but it is fairly far from the old town/sightseeing areas. There was no internet access for a week and the water was off for two days, the owner had no back up plan and the water goes off fairly regularly in Cartagena. no lockers in the rooms only in the kitchen and not enough for all the beds. Rooms weren't cleaned thoroughly, there were empty bottles under the beds, dirty cups etc the whole time I was there.

It was much quieter than i expected and i was pleasantly surprised! It probably helped that the girls I was sharing with were really respectful. Hostel claims rooms are cleaned 4 times a day...in reality if it 'looks' clean the cleaner doesn't bother doing anything. did not eat the free meals but they smelled pretty good. Hostel was in a great location. wifi limited to lobby which is very annoying....no chance of skyping as lobby is really noisy.

Aluna Casa y Cafe

A very nice hostel in a good location. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were fairly spacious with lockers. It was a very quiet time for the hostel which was nice for us although it did mean that the atmosphere was lacking (but can't be helped!). The guest kitchen wasn't very clean. One big downside was the lack of a/c, it was really hot in some of the rooms, particularly those on the bottom floor.

A good hostel with friendly staff who were very helpful. They spoke English which was a big bonus as I have very little Spanish! Room was fairly clean, had a/c, bed was pretty comfy. Would recommend you take a pillow though.

Staff were incredibly helpful and I added extra days onto my booking no problem. They also helped me organise trips to other parts of Greece. Hostel was clean and bedrooms were nice. In a great location, within walking distance of everything. The walking tour the hostel put on for 6euros is well worth the money. The walls are very thin though so it can be very noisy - you will need earplugs!

The bathroom was fairly dirty & so was the bedroom. When I arrived the floors obviously hadn't been cleaned for some time, the bin was overflowing and I have my doubts about whether all the sheets were changed. It was very noisy on a night and the room was very small for 7 people. However it was lovely and warm, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was ok and it was very close to all the main sites.
