Fantastic stay. Good location 30 sec from train station, and 15 sec from airport bus stop. Clean and good looking facilities. As long as you keep the ventilation open, you will sleep nicely at night. Good balance between socializing and a quiet sleep at night. Ricardo is a great host. He enjoys running this hostel, and he intends to make it a great stay for everyone and anyone. I needed breakfast early early on the day of check out, and it was taken care of. Highly recommended.

Nice old house with character. Possibility of bumping into school groups. At least one shower did not have hot water. Simple breakfast. Good location within walking distance of everything you need to see. Plenty of nightlife options nearby as well.

A rather nice and interesting stay. 2 bunks is a private room for the two of us. Good filling breakfast. Space is restricted by the nature of the hostel, as it is a boat. The dock is 15min from dam square, and 10 from red light district.

Loud party hostel with enjoyable location away from the tourist crunch, with good eateries and gelateria nearby. Not particularly tidy, although the rooms are cleared out everyday for cleaning. Lineups for toilet and shower in the morning. Wifi not able to sustain the number of users. But free dinner along with its cheap rate is a lifesaver.

Facilities are old and lacking character, but has a good central location. No free wifi is no good. Otherwise, everything else is rather standard, including the odd person rolling into the room at night. Possibilities of bumping into school groups.

Really interesting hostel. The decor stands out in a good way. Clean as well with good beds. I enjoyed the location away from the tourist zone, yet it is only 5 min walk from piazza del popolo. Wish there are more hostels such as this one which is away from termini!

Good utilitarian hostel. U have what u need (clean bed, quiet sleep), and nothing more. Lockout is a big problem, but thats how they keep it super sanitized. So if you arrive early, keep ur bags in the museum lockers if u must.

Fantastic hosts! Veronica and Giuseppe are fun and friendly, and make a great push to have everyone join into their nightly activities. Pretty good location as well only a few minutes walk from the centre of palermo. Rooms were average, but rates are cheap as well. Really enjoyed it!

AlterEgo Guesthouse

Not sure what was goin on, but after a long process of not finding my booking or finding the keys, i was placed into a room inside the owner's flat. A dorm room ended up being a private, with endless noise and smoke from the living room. Upside was that i stayed authentically in trapani, downside was i was bothered at 5am cuz the guy looking after the place forgot his tie in my room, and felt it was reasonable to wake me up to get it. Really weird, but also very sicilian experience.

Great location close to aya sofia. Modern facilities. Helpful and friendly host. Clean and comfy beds. Good atmosphere for chilling with strangers. But the nice top floor bar does get a bit load late into the night, so ask for a lower floor if you want a quiet room,

Enjoyable hostel to stay in. Price hiked dramatically for a champions league matchday. Also no elevator for my 5th floor room. Room is large for 4 beds, and tidy. Too much dust on the floor though, and the mattress squeaky. Washroom and showers clean and in good shape. Common area is large tidy and modern. Breakfast decent.

Lybeer Travellers' Hostel

In the middle of renovation. Although it will be better when finished, the fact is that it has become really run down before they decided to update the place. Decor is dated, carpet stained and dirty, toilet and shower facilities worn out, lounge furniture ready for the dump. Stayed for 3 nights. Was rudely interrupted during sleep at 4am by a couple of spanish dudes on a friday night. Would not consider returning.

B&B Trevi Roma

We thoroughly enjoyed the room as it was decorated to modern taste, which is not easy to find in the same price category in Roma. Location was of course fantastic. Breakfast was also good. However, we encountered ants in our room, and had to throw out one of our bags. I understand the problems with these old buildings, as I work in a heritage building as well, and hope that this can be sorted out.
