Very friendly and helpful staff. A quiet little hostel in a nice area, very clean, good showers, good wifi, nice lounge and shared facilities, standard breakfast. The owner was personable and opened the courtyard gate (we drove) so we could get on the road.

If you've been to another St. Christopher's, they're all fairly similar. Lockers under beds. My 10 dorm had privacy curtains. Well-located in the old part of Bruges. Really cool bar here--old clock that moves backwards and other neat decor and a nice atmosphere in general. They have walking tours but we didn't take them. Wifi doesn't work in bedrooms, but it's decent in reception area.

Lucky Lake Hostel

Incredible! Such a cool and atypical hostel. If you're looking for a place near Amsterdam but away from the craziness, Lucky Lake is worth its own visit. Wish we'd planned to spend less time in the city, but we'll definitely be back. Staff is super helpful. Met a load of interesting guests. Facilities were all clean and functional. Cozy set-up. Only difficulty was taking the proper metro back to the Lucky Lake station.

I always have the best times at Wombats! Great staff, the best free map, good breakfast, very clean, fun bar, fun guests. Short walk to the city center and a metro station. A lot of cool bars and restaurants nearby (and marked on the free map). Staff was helpful when I needed to print something. Free laundry powder! But €5 to wash and dry a load.

The owner is a really nice guy, but it's not your typical hostel. Not really any kind of social environment. The rooms are more like hotel rooms with extra beds (mine had it's own kitchen, tv, and bathroom) which leads to very little contact with other travelers. Not cool if you're traveling alone. Cash only.

Absolutely the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Super clean, cool, full of great ideas. Between the free noodles and the leftover fridge, you could eat for free most nights. The free sauna is great as well.
