Nice and quiet hostel. Physically very clean, lots of locker space, big common area. About 10 min walk from the city centre.

I really enjoyed my stay at Madness. The highlight is the owner who is a great guy! It's a small hostel so has share hose kind of vibe. Only one bathroom (that has toilet and shower) so at times of peak usage you'll have to wait.

The cleanliness of this hostel was poor. Every day the bins in the toilets would be overflowing at some stage, they either need to empty them more often or get bigger bins! The kitchen was also quite dirty. We didn't get a key for our hostel room for the first night. You can only be buzzed into the actual hostel, so if there isn't a staff member there you'll be waiting for a few minutes. There are only 3 communal toilets for the dorm

Security was the weakest point with the door on the street open during the day, often with no one at the door. There were some lockers in common areas but not in our room and our room didn't lock. The beds were comfortable, showers hot and hostel clean, but no wifi.

Hostal Iquisa

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

This was a quiet, clean and very pleasant hostel. There aren't always English speaking staff on sight, I think they get called to come when it's thought to be necessary. It's about a 10-15 walk from the centre of town which can be a bit daunting at night due to some poor lighting and being away from the busy/touristy area. The female members of our group got hassled by locals during the walk, so maybe not the best option for solo female travellers.

Really nice hostel with a cool atmosphere and vibe. Bit of a walk from the centre of town but it's a small town. Hot water was a bit inconsistent. Staff very helpful, nice and can organise a number of tours.

I was very happy with this hostel. I've stayed at about 10 hostels this year and this was right up there amongst the best. Lockers are provided and it's close to the old town and some trendy bars. Really nice weekend in Warsaw.

When we arrived we had this strange encounter with the owner trying to have us take a room we didn't book, but after that happened it all turned out okay. The actual building is a bit old, quiet and dark but within the rooms it's fine.

Nice place. Very clean with very nice staff. The dorm room is out the front of the building, so if the door isn't locked somebody could easily enter the room unnoticed, which doesn't have lockers.

Egyptian Night

Nice, clean and central hostel. I stayed in both a dorm and private room, which were both very nice and equipped with air conditioning, which was highly necessary! Don't be put off by the stairs up to the hostel (elevator currently broken), since it's very nice once you're up there. Minor issue: one of the drivers they organised for my transfer arrived late, making my journey to the airport for an international flight quite nervous!

Please accept our apology for the taxi issue. Traffic and roads in Egypt isnt helpful this is why the driver got late. Thanks again and wish to see you again in Cairo.

Hi, Glad you had a good time. There is a lock and a key for the dorm - the lock is on the door and the key is behind reception, you just have to ask for it as the majority of guests don't bother with it and just use the bedside lockers.

Considering we were in the middle of the desert it was fantastic! Only issue was that it was unclear that dinner was not included. The description said, "We will prepare Bedouin food for the main dish, - some vegetables, rice will prepare Bedouin food." I assumed it was included in the price...

The staff here were absolutely lovely. An extra lock/key for our room door would probably go down well but I wasn't personally worried about the security of my stuff since staff were always in the lobby.
