It is just a great place to stay in seattle.
it's one of those hostels where you have to get used to it's own vibe first. once you got it, it's one of the coolest hostels to stay. "Das ist gut, ja!"
first of all: they have the greatest shower in north america. it's like showering in a squash court. as they describe on their homepage, there's no stove. there are only two showers and toilets, which means that it doe get thight when the hostel is fully booked. But those bathrooms are very clean. the staff is excellent and very helpful. it''s one of the most relaxed hostel i've ever been and the communal living room helps to get in touch with other backpackers.
It is indeed a very peaceful place and the location is perfect. although there are no power sockets in the rooms, the backyard is awesome and the staff is very helpful.
i can strongly recommend the halifax backpackers. the staff is not only friendly, they become like friends. the whole hostel feels more like a flat-sharing community than a hostel. the hostel is very entangled with its surrounding community which makes you as a guest feel like a part of this community. the downtown is reachable within walking distance and the bus station is almost in front of the hostel. you get great food, coffee and live music at the hostel lounge. it s a lively place
absolutely great hostel
