Internet connection seemed overloaded with connections lost, everything else was fine.
Uepá A., thanks you for the short and accurate review ;-) I find it strange that you didn't connect properly to the Wi-Fi. Since we installed our 5 routers all over the hostel, the powerful Wi-fi never leaves anyone unconnected ;-) Anyway, our IT responsible will come this weekend to make sure everything is perfect for real. We know how internet is important for everyone nowadays. Thanks again for the great review. Hug from Lisbon and see you next time you stop by, João Ferreira

Nice place in good location (if you are looking for a more laid-back part of Tokyo) and huge lockers. The only minor negative points were that the common room is a bit small, and the wifi setup with a dozen different networks in the hostel instead of one network repeated everywhere (if you use wifi in the lounge and your room, your device might accidentally stay connected to the very weak lounge network from the room).

Nice place run by a super-friendly owner who also speaks English very well. Location is a bit away from the center, but since public transport connections are good this is not a huge problem (unless you want to get back several times during the day). It is a guesthouse with quite affordable rooms (even single rooms), a nice combination of an older house and sleeping arrangement without lacking modern amenities.

Super-friendly staff, right next to the castle and in walking distance from the railway station.

Good location near to the railway station and lockers where even big bags fit easily. The main downside is that it is a party hostel, with a beer vending machine in the common room and no staff present at night to prevent people from partying in the hostel.

The hostel offers a nice view from the 36th floor and there is more space in the dorm room than in other hostels.

Good location, huge locker and friendly staff. Only negative point was that paying by credit card did not work for me and several other people.

Hostel with very nice staff. Downsides are the location and the very small dorm room.

Best atmosphere of any hostel I stayed at in Korea so far.
Thank you for the kind review!

Very nice hostel, in good location and with great breakfast. The only minor problem were occasional (once every one or two hours) breaks in the (otherwise good and fast) wifi connection that were observed by several people.

The location is in the train station - convenient when arriving, but 30 minutes walk to the city. My impression of the hostel is that it is sterile. On a positive side it is very clean and the lockers are huge and good. Even though it was July, there were nearly no other travelers visible or in the common area to meet other people. Wifi reception was unusably bad in the room, and non-existing in the common area - only at the reception it was good.

Location, staff and atmosphere were good. Lockers could be better, and wifi reception in the rooms is not good.

Location and value-for money (8 Euro including breakfast) are the positive sides. Negative is that the some beds are located in a way that you have to climb to the upper bed without any ladder available, and one bathroom is not enough for a room with 12 beds.

Very nice hostel with good breakfast in a central location. Only negative point: WIFI wasn't working in the room (only in the lobby).

a nice place but with some problems: rooms are very small, the location is quite far from the center, no kitchen one could use for cooking or making tea, instead stuff has to be bought from the expensive restaurant (so expensive that they the prices are written without VAT in the menu!), the restaurant was after breakfast even though it was supposed to be open, bed linen were dirty, internet and wifi were very expensive, it was pretty empty with not much social life

Other places charge insane amounts for Internet access, here wifi and Internet computers are free to use (some rooms even have an own Internet computer). The staff is friendly. The location is not central, but within walking distance to the center. The place is not horribly bad, but I'd recommend a renovation of the buildings.

dirty, not much social life at the hostel except for some strange regulars
Hey Adrian, sorry for a quiet night, guests come and go as they want which we really like just to relax in between busy days and nights. If you would have extended or came the night before, you could have witnessed a pretty packed hostel both nights. I guess it was just bad timing :-) Good luck for next time and enjoy your travels, your Blarney's Rock Backpackers Team

Nice hostel in the center that still has the flair of the hotel it once was. It has a big common area, 50MB wifi are for free, and the free breakfast was the best free breakfast of my travel.

The advertised "Free WiFi access throughout the hostel" is only free for 1 hour per day, and after that more than twice as expensive than in other hostels.

hostel is generally OK, free wifi, negative experience: the reception tried to sell expensive trips to destinations without telling that (cheap) normal buses are also going there
