EastSeven Berlin Hostel, Berlin, Germany

The people working there were very nice (especially Nik), but a few of them weren't too helpful when we needed a cab to be called. Very clean hostel, nice neighborhood. Security wasn't the best, especially if you need to leave your bag to be locked up. They just give anyone the key to the room, and don't keep track of how long you're in the closet with everyone's bags. The kitchen was excellent and the back garden is lovely. Would stay here again!

I don´t understand your critics about security: You want us to install cameras in the bathroom to check who is doing what? We allready have a camera in the luggage storage. We also have the batches to see who belongs to the hostel. And we allways offer our guest to use the 300 kg safe at the reception for valuables. In 7 years since opening we never ever had an reported case of theft from the luggage storage - I think by deeper consideration: we are high security. Cheers, Joerg (manager)

Boomerang Hostel & Apartments, Budapest, Hungary

The staff here was so wonderful. We had booked a 4 bed dorm as a group, but a fifth friend joined us midway through our trip. When she arrived with us, the young man working at the front desk immediately set up a fifth bed in our dorm room, and she was able to stay with us! Boomerang is within walking distance of everything, and cabs to the main attractions only cost about $5 total. I was SO happy with this hostel, and will definitely go back.

Excellent staff, especially the young lady working at the desk. The rooms were bright and colorful, and we were impressed by the women who cleaned the hostel every single day!

The staff were friendly, but the breakfast was rather poor. My main complaint is that if we wanted to leave the building, we had to ask the staff to press a button from behind the desk in order to unlock a rather large door in order to leave. Not only was this inconvenient, since the door to exit is down the hall from reception, but it is also a VERY DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD. If there were a fire, there is a high probability that people would get stuck inside and that would not be good.

Camping Venezia, Venice, Italy

We loved this place and would definitely stay here when returning to Venice. Staff is VERY friendly, especially the man working in the dining hall. The bathrooms/showers were very nice and extremely clean. It was quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by trees (nice to get out of the city at night since it's a little crowded). The little "cabins" were quite nice, connected to bathrooms, and above what we expected for the price we paid. GREAT PLACE TO STAY.

The room we had was connected to a bathroom that had tons of mold growing all over the walls. When we left to go to the next city, we had all gotten sick from it. I had an allergy to it, which was easy to take care of. But my friend got a bacteria that grows in dirty bathrooms, and had to start on an expensive antibiotic. That wasn't cool for us, since the last thing we needed on a backpacking trip was to be sick. The staff was very friendly, except for one exceptionally mean woman.

I would maybe come back here. It was in such a great location. Its neighborhood was wonderful, and we were literally just across the street from a picadilly stop. Downsides: we were a group of girls and the only way to get into the hostel is to go through the pub downstairs. This was fine with us, but on a couple of nights there were VERY shady characters, and it made us all uncomfortable. Also the dishes at breakfast were all dirty, and the only place to lock a bag is in the basement.
