Excelling small hostel in Auckland. A short walk from the main CBD the hostel doesn't look great from the outside but inside it is new, clean and modern. Collingwood Accommodation is appropriately described as homely. There are no organised bar crawls, overpriced charges for WiFi or sales reps forcing tours down your throat. Staying in a dorm it is more of a guesthouse with a dorm than a proper hostel. It offers basic rooms with as many beds crammed in the space as possible (although most beds aren't bunk beds). There is a big shortage on storage space for bags and only 5 'lockers' between 8 people and the door is never locked. Despite this, the atmosphere is good and its in a decent location near lots of restaurants, tailors, shops and bike hire while being just a 5 minute walk to old town itself.
