Stayed here on/off for almost a week & found the place had great atmosphere & very friendly & helpful staff. It is not a party hostel but still a good place to meet a range of different people. Very close to public transport and quite safe/secure. There is a small drawer to store your valuables so be sure to bring your own padlock. Beds are very comfortable, there is hot water for showers & the place is cleaned very day.

A Vigna Du Raffa

Stayed in the single room which was nice, cozy and secure. The patio is a great spot for chilling out or meeting other travellers. Location was great and so was the staff. Felt more like a holiday house than a hostel so dont expect staff to always be around. However, they are always contactable by phone/email. Monterosso is the best place to stay out of the 5 villages as its the only one with a proper beach and the village atmosphere was lively.

Hotel Marcella

Florence, Italy

Hostel lacks character and opportunities to meet other travellers. ie. there are no common areas. Florence is an expensive city so if all you need is a clean, safe place to sleep then this place will do just fine. Owner is very friendly and always at the hostel.

Zen House B&B

This was the best hostel I've stayed in during my 6 weeks in Europe. Was in the single room for 5 nights & it was clean, comfortable & secure. Giacomo is a great host (& cook), very friendly & funny, providing maps, advice, tips, breakfast & great conversations. He really does try to make your stay enjoyable & is part of the reason why I really like Rome. Although the location is slightly outside the city center, it is located conveniently to bus/train stops & will let you see how locals live.

Stayed here with a friend in the double room and it was so roomy and comfortable. The hostel has a great setup and really great atmosphere/vibe. Very warm and cozy, which makes you want to stay in and thats saying alot considering the scenery in this town is so picturesque. Staff are really friendly and helpful and extra bonus for being an eco-friendly hostel. Hostel itself is very safe but if you are in a dorm you will not be provided with your own room keys, that's only for double rooms.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your nice comments! Please note there are lockers in each dorm room for valuables, so locks on the doors aren't really necessary. Also, the hostel is small, and the staff and other guests know not to let in everyone who shows up at the door :) We're glad you stayed with us! Krumlov House

Lybeer Travellers' Hostel

Only stayed for 1 night but the location was convenient and staff were friendly. Hostel is a little run down but they are currently in the midst of renovating so it should improve greatly when its done. Single room was newly renovated and painted, safe and cozy. Hostel has no lifts and stairs are very steep but this is normal for buildings in Belgium.
