Saigon Sports 1 Hotel

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Saigon Sports 1 Hotel is conveniently located in the busy and bustling centre of Saigon. Our room was clean and tidy, with A/C, TV, etc, and quiet considering its location. The staff at the hotel were very good as they arranged pick-ups to and from the airport, and also as we were running ot of time two day trips to the Meekong Delta and Cu Chu tunnels which were great. The only negative, breakfast, which is located around the corner in another Sports Hotel, was not that great.

The Heim Mai Hotel was nice. Rooms were clean & tidy, and hotel is conveniently located just of the main road so nice and quiet, so would recommend staying here. They happily arranged our onwards transit to the airport.

Phuoc An Hotel

Hoi An, Vietnam

The Phuoc An Hotel is conveniently located on a back-street away from the main road and is nice and quiet. The room we had was clean, and the included breakfast was very good too. The staff were also good in that they arranged a day trip to My Son, onward flights with Vietnamese Airways, and suit postage all for a reasonable price. They also allowed us to use their shower facility later in the day after we had checked out which was good. TV, A/C, etc, all good.

Tran Ly Hotel

Staff were pleasant, rooms were clean, and they arranged a day trip to the DMZ. However, this turned out to be a shot-gun tour of this area. We booked a 6am to 6 pm tour, but arrived back early at the hotel at 4pm as the driver was just keen to end the tour as soon as possible (2 hrs early). We only had literally 10 minutes inside the Vinh Moc tunnels and were told we should visit again if we wanted to see more. Do make sure you request a room with a window as ours did not and was very damp.

Nice pleasant staff who arranged our trip to Halong Bay. Said it was a two day tour, but what with travelling times probably could have done with leaving earlier as it turned out more like a 1 day tour. As for May De Ville, the breakfast was great with lots of choices. Rooms were clean and tidy, A/C, and TV, etc. Also, this hostel is suitably located just off the main roads of the old town, so not too noisy.
