Central Hostel

London, England

Great, safe location. Important to know, you have to pay cash and a 5 GBP deposit for your room key. Storage lockers coat 1 GBP for the day.

The rooms are not properly ventilated, so the 12-person spaces get hot very quickly, especially at night (unless you leave the door propped open!). There is no storage for luggage inside the rooms, so they become crowded very quickly. The bar downstairs is pretty cool.

Hotel Astoria- Venice

Venice, Italy

AWESOME deal considering how little you pay. Almost the price of a hostel for a private room. Though the two double beds are pushed together and share the same sheets too. So be careful if you're traveling with someone who you don't want to sleep that close to. Great for a short stay.

Soul Backpackers Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

Such a great place to stay! I really felt like the atmosphere embodied Spanish culture. It almost felt like being in a resort.

Generator Hostel Copenhagen

Copenhagen, Denmark

This was the first European hostel I had ever stayed in. Having stayed in three others since, they all seem terrible compared to Generator in Copenhagen. Definitely not your average hostel. It's really big, like a hotel. And the bar makes for a great meeting point.
