OK, but slightly overrated. Staff is friendly, but showers are ugly, wifi unstable and the (free) breakfast bad. Locationwise a little bit far away from the centre, on the other hand not too far away from the main bus terminal.
Very friendly staff with perfect English. The hostel is centrally located, offers spacious communal areas and nice kitchen. Dormitories could be a little bit bigger and matrasses more convenient. Still a very good deal and highly recommended ;)
Very central location, spacious dorms with comfortable matrasses, clean, well-equipped kitchen, quiet and all in all beautiful. And: Cheap laundry service. And so on. Perfect.
Safe, central, clean, friendly, with a pool and a dog and colibris flying around. Minimarket around the corner, supermarket a few blocks further. 10 minutes to the metro, 4 minutes to the main bus artery. Staff is relaxed, communal area is huge with everything you might need to chill out. Kitchen is spacious and well equipped. (If only they had more power sockets...)
The location is fantastic (2 minutes to Botafogo metro, plenty of buses to everywhere in the city, shopping centre, cheap food stalls and supermarkets around the corner). Staff is very likeable with excellent English knowledge. AC and WIFI work fine. The hostel's facilities, unfortunately, are somehow run down. Also the dorm rooms are super-small. My 6 bed dormitory I chose for a little bit more comfort was appr. 4-5 m² with 3-storey bunk beds. Cheap though.
Good vibes, nice staff, dorms a little bit too small. Definitely a good hostel, though slightly overrated.
Great location: 1 minute away from the main bus terminal, 2 minutes away from a big fruit/vegetable market, 7 minutes away from a huge supermarket. Very good breakfast and super staff. Shower situation could be better though. But all in all very enjoyable and affordable.
Located a little bit outside of the town centre, but still close to big supermarkets (and Pucon is a small town anyway). The hostel is very new with great kitchen and showers. Japanese-style bunks come with reading light and sockets (also the big lockers have sockets!), but you shouldn't be claustrophobic. The French owner is very helpful and very nice (the volunteers a little bit less competent, while still super-friendly).
Very friendly staff (let me stay in their kitchen the whole day waiting for my bus), very centrally located (5 minutes to the bus terminal), pool, big kitchen/leisure space. Wifi is working fine, hot water not a problem at all. And it's clean. Dormitories a little bit too crammed. All in all very good value for money.
It's not a boutique hostel, has more of a long-time student hangout feeling with live guitar music and invitations for bbq's. Hosts and other guests are great, wifi is so so (normal for this area), it's surprisingly warm inside (a big plus as it gets really uncomfortable at night in Tilcara) and you should like dogs (as dogs love this place). I felt very welcome. And it's cheap.
Central, clean hostel with very nice atmosphere (young, caring owners). Wifi is fast, English is spoken, information is given. Todo bien.
Perfectly located (close to the old centre, but away from the hassle, big supermarket across the road, plenty of small restaurants around), free tea all day long, very friendly staff (good English), good wifi around the floors, funny/strange big dog and no crowds. Leaving your bags for trekking (Machu Picchu, etc.) is no problem at all. Basic breakfast included.
After weeks of dormitory stays without much privacy I was very happy to get my own room for the price of a dormitory bed. But it's not only about the bargain for a single room. The hostal is located close to the main plaza and next to a few nice restaurants, WIFI is strong, there is a cosy terrace and you can use the kitchen. The place is kept clean, hot water showers work and stuff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Not much to complain here. Staff is attentive and nice, plenty of space to chill, free tea/coffee and good atmosphere with cool co-travellers. Good price/value for this area.
A very enjoyable stay. Staff is friendly, facilities are plenty, atmosphere and location are very good.
Clean, spacious and very well located hostel with attentive staff. Good free breakfast and modern kitchen facilities. Plenty of bathrooms and WCs. All in all very good price/value.
A good choice for backpackers. The riad is located inside the Medina very close to 2 of the arteries (one leads you directly to the famous main square), so it's easy to find your way back from the chaos. Very friendly, English-speaking staff, good facilities, as it is a newly opened hostel. Free breakfast and wifi, relaxing chill-out zones.
I stayed at the dormitory which is actually a narrow hall stuffed with some uncomfortable bunk beds. The "desk" of the hostel is inside (!) of this room, the unfriendly staff kept talking loudly inside until very late. I had to be quite rude to make them shut up. AC is available, but does not work properly, because the door is open most of the time. The so highly praised fast WIFI was one of the slowest I had in Asia. Lots of mosquitos and not backpacker atmosphere at all.
To keep it short: It's an incredible place for every backpacker. The dorms are very clean with soft (!) mattresses and power sockets at every bed. Wifi is free, fast and available everywhere. It's a quiet place, but still not far from the centre of town (ok, it''s a small town, but anyway..). English is very well spoken, and they love to give you the information you need to successfully fight your way through Yunnan and the surrounding areas. 10 ***king stars.
Very nice and helpful staff (good English), free and fast wifi, dorm rooms get cleaned daily (incl. towel change!). Location is ok (10 minutes walk to the metro, bus station to Leshan around the corner), many nice restaurants around.
Excellent in most points: cubicles instead of bunk beds, wifi is free and everywhere, fantastic location (very central, close to 2 metro lines; you reach every major sight of Beijing in 10-30 min max), very clean and modern. Unfortunately there are not enough showers and sinks for this amount of cubicles/beds. If I counted correctly, 16 cubicles have to share 1 shower, 1 toilet, 1 sink. This cannot work out assuming that the guests need to use these facilities at appr. the same time of the day.
South from the lake area (a 15-minute-walk), but there are many buses. Lovely staff, very good English spoken, also very good food. Dorm rooms are very clean for Chinese standards. If you don't mind staying outside of the main tourist area, I would highly recommend.
A very friendly hostel with clean and spacious rooms and a very good restaurant. Hot water and free wifi available. +++++++++ (p.s.: But consider not to stay in the here recommended guesthouse in JAISALMER (Jow?). The rooms are very dirty, there is no water and the food was mediocre. And after a welcome drink camel tour selling starts. I checked out as soon as I could).
Very friendly hostel, spacious rooms, good wifi, hot water, central location.
Very good value for money. It's more a hotel than a hostel with clean floors and spacious rooms with hot showers (though you have to wait 2-5 minutes). The attached restaurant serves very delicious food (try the mixed veg curry) and is a big relief after Agra's culinary disaster. Owner and staff are very honest and helpful. Wifi is free and only available in the public areas. Location is between train station (10 minutes walking) and pink city (20 minutes walking). Recommendation!
Best Hostel I ever stayed in. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the party on thursday. The hostel is very clean and secure. The location is perfect: 3 minutes walk to the jr station hiroshima. Highly recommended!
Very good and clean hostel, good locations. Highly recommended!
