A good choice for backpackers. The riad is located inside the Medina very close to 2 of the arteries (one leads you directly to the famous main square), so it's easy to find your way back from the chaos. Very friendly, English-speaking staff, good facilities, as it is a newly opened hostel. Free breakfast and wifi, relaxing chill-out zones.
I stayed at the dormitory which is actually a narrow hall stuffed with some uncomfortable bunk beds. The "desk" of the hostel is inside (!) of this room, the unfriendly staff kept talking loudly inside until very late. I had to be quite rude to make them shut up. AC is available, but does not work properly, because the door is open most of the time. The so highly praised fast WIFI was one of the slowest I had in Asia. Lots of mosquitos and not backpacker atmosphere at all.
To keep it short: It's an incredible place for every backpacker. The dorms are very clean with soft (!) mattresses and power sockets at every bed. Wifi is free, fast and available everywhere. It's a quiet place, but still not far from the centre of town (ok, it''s a small town, but anyway..). English is very well spoken, and they love to give you the information you need to successfully fight your way through Yunnan and the surrounding areas. 10 ***king stars.
Very nice and helpful staff (good English), free and fast wifi, dorm rooms get cleaned daily (incl. towel change!). Location is ok (10 minutes walk to the metro, bus station to Leshan around the corner), many nice restaurants around.
Excellent in most points: cubicles instead of bunk beds, wifi is free and everywhere, fantastic location (very central, close to 2 metro lines; you reach every major sight of Beijing in 10-30 min max), very clean and modern. Unfortunately there are not enough showers and sinks for this amount of cubicles/beds. If I counted correctly, 16 cubicles have to share 1 shower, 1 toilet, 1 sink. This cannot work out assuming that the guests need to use these facilities at appr. the same time of the day.
South from the lake area (a 15-minute-walk), but there are many buses. Lovely staff, very good English spoken, also very good food. Dorm rooms are very clean for Chinese standards. If you don't mind staying outside of the main tourist area, I would highly recommend.
A very friendly hostel with clean and spacious rooms and a very good restaurant. Hot water and free wifi available. +++++++++ (p.s.: But consider not to stay in the here recommended guesthouse in JAISALMER (Jow?). The rooms are very dirty, there is no water and the food was mediocre. And after a welcome drink camel tour selling starts. I checked out as soon as I could).
Very friendly hostel, spacious rooms, good wifi, hot water, central location.
Very good value for money. It's more a hotel than a hostel with clean floors and spacious rooms with hot showers (though you have to wait 2-5 minutes). The attached restaurant serves very delicious food (try the mixed veg curry) and is a big relief after Agra's culinary disaster. Owner and staff are very honest and helpful. Wifi is free and only available in the public areas. Location is between train station (10 minutes walking) and pink city (20 minutes walking). Recommendation!
Best Hostel I ever stayed in. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the party on thursday. The hostel is very clean and secure. The location is perfect: 3 minutes walk to the jr station hiroshima. Highly recommended!
Very good and clean hostel, good locations. Highly recommended!
