A great place if you're looking for a chilled place in BK, close to public transport links and the main shopping mall. If it's your first time in BK and you're looking for a party, maybe not the place for you but if you're just looking for a relaxed stay, this is the place for you. Nice cool rooms and very clean too.

A nice hostel not too far away from the main beach and close to shops and amenities. Very clean and a simple but good breakfast in the morning. Good reliable wifi.
A free beer and coffee on arrival and that cheap a dorm room?! Incredible! Friendly staff and organised tours to all great wall areas and other beijing attractions for a not too unreasonable price. The prices in the restaurant aren't too bad either. Clean, spacious rooms and good wifi.
The staff here are super friendly and very helpful with organising your china trip and sights in Xi'an. Going through a bit of a remodel when I was there so showering had to be done upstairs in another room but good to see them developing their already good hostel. Connected to a bar restaurant and a free beer on arrival was well received! Located near near the west gate so a tad out the way but still easily accessible to all the inner city sights by walking.
Junky a quick overnighter here for me but I was impressed with what I saw. Friendly and helpful staff and nice dorms too. They organise plenty of trips for things like panda viewing ie the main attraction in Chengdu in my opinion. A nice common area, good wifi throughout.
A great hostel to be yourself at before your climb up mt emei. Free luggage storage and free walking stick and 'crampon' rental if needed. Really friendly helpful staff who were great with helping plan my mountain trip and best way of moving up to Xi'an. A good food selection too and not too unreasonable a price in a pleasant common room/restaurant area. Very clean spacious dorms with lockers provided. Good wifi too.
I don't think I could have asked for friendlier more helpful staff. The girls were fantastic and helped me with all I asked about when planning my route up to leshan and mt emei. Also, after arriving early and having to spent the first couple of hours sleeping on a couch, i woke to find someone had put a duvet over me. Amazing! A really clean hostel too with good wifi. An easy walk to the dock but a bit of a climb up to the main city centre is the only thing that let this place down a bit
A really nice looking hostel, both in terms of bedrooms, showers and lobby area. Really clean. Staff could have been a bit more helpful in terms of tring to help sort out river trips but were all pleasant enough. Good wifi. Good location when you get to it. Yichang is only really a place to spend a night either side of your river trip so try not to be there too long
A party hostel if there ever was one in china. A great bar and always people to meet, party and play beer pong with. Rooms and showers are as average as most but the atmosphere here is a lot of fun and definitely worth staying at. Great location on the main drag too. Wifi, average and no Facebook as advertised. Staff are helpful and knowledgable.
The infamous monkey janes didn't fail to disappoint in terms of atmosohere with plenty of people to talk to in the lobby or the party of the rooftop bar and it's stunning views. Sure I've sen cleaner hostels but nothing too ad by ny means. The water is hotter in the second building and the huge film selection was much appreciated too. Not the greatest internets though and no FB as advertised. Very helpful, fun, knowledgable staff though. Definitely worth a visit.
A nice hostel to stay at just back from the main market roads and a good location to get buses to sights or to walk to others. A friendly staff who help with tours and a comfy area to watch a big selection of films. Rooms are clean and spacious with electric blankets to help keep you warm at night. Good wifi. Good sized lockers with keys and locks provided for dorms
One of many hostels in Chunking Mansions which is well known to be not the flashiest place. Great location though, in the heart of Kowloon not too far a walk to mongkok & right next to the subway for easy connections to HK Island and everywhere else. A clean hostel but it consists only of a desk, a corridor & the rooms, no communal areas/chairs/anything like that so not somewhere to meet people. Friendly helpful staff though. Good strong wifi. A tad expensive. Cheaper (but worse) hostels on F/16
A nice enough hostel just down from the main attractions of khao San road without being on it. Good Internet downstairs only and average staff. Dorm room clean and equipped with big under bed lockers. Nothing special but by no means a bad place to stay
A really nice, laid back hostel in a great location within easy walking distance of all the many old city attractions. Really helpful staff too (although sometimes a bit too laid back) but helped me organise my cooking course and elephant training/trekking. Couldn't have wanted more from either! Great recommendations! Really clean too and good sized lockers for all. The in built restaurant provides really cheap and tasty food too. The wifi is very sporadic though.
Jik really is an amazing host and was there to great me on the door at arrival and so helpful throughout my stay there, helping to show me where to go to see the Krabi highlights and organising my bus up to BK for me. A clean hostel with good sized rooms and good wifi. Free coffee is always an amazing bonus too! About a 5-10 minute walk to the main pier with boat connections to wherever you need. Opposite a couple of really good, cheap restaurants too
So a really well located hostel, right in th heart of the city and not too far from either beach but importantly the sunrise beach for the FMP. Free pool, inexpensive drinks but average meals. Our dorm wasn't cleaned throughout the 4nights I was there but maybe that's just the way during a FM. Youre rarely in your room/in much of a state to care anyway. The dorm was right by their cheap bottle-o too which was very handy indeed! Good, reliable wifi in rooms.
So can't really comment on this hostel as I arrived and there wasn't space for me to stay there! The manager had though organised for me to stay in the hostel over the road though, which turned out to be ideal as it was closer to the beach
Probably not the place to stay if you're new to the travelling scene. The spray painted decor might not be to everyone's taste but does create an artsie/squat type feel to it, in a good way. A good bar othe ground floor creating a good atmosphere and staff that can help you out. Quite a distance from the main parts of BK though and it's either a long trek/taxi/bus into the city every day and back. But for 100B, you really can't complain!
A really nice NOMADs hostel in a good location, not too far from shops and not too far a walk to the beach/national park. Nice facilities and nice staff and a good bar to chill in at night. Can't complain about the rooms either, well maintained.
Really helpful friendly staff and they all seem to work hard to make sure this hostel runs well. Great location in Fortitude Valley, the party district, and not too far from public transport or shops. Well known party environment and great bar with great deals and events to get involved in. The 20 bed dorm might sound big but REALLY well set up so that it feels like you're in a much smaller room. Very well done on that front!
An absolutely amazing hostel with possibly one of the best vibes I've ever come across. The staff here are amazingly friendly, always willing to talk to you, offer you trip advice, play volleyball/table tennis/chess with you and drink kava with you every night, which again is a great way of getting involved with new people and Fijian customs. A stones throw to the beach and a tad further to the shop. Great food offered too and for a great price, as are there unique tour opportunities! Stay here!
A well established party hostel of Queenstown and you're guaranteed to find more than enough people to have a party although as most come in on tours, it might be harder for single travellers to break into these well established groups. There are a lot of staff here though that are miserable as sin and I did not appreciate a lot of their attitudes nor been shouted at like I was a 10year old for an incident I knew nothing about. A good free meal each night though, and a stones throw to everything
Reallygreat location and the staff are nothing but helpful. The apartment style rooms also really help in meeting other travellers and give it a nice homely feel. The free food in the evening isn't going to fill you but is a great addition and much appreciated. Expensive interent/wifi though...
A top rate hostel just off the julio, with fantastically friendly and helpful staff, as clean as you could want it tobe and a great atmosphere all the time. Sharing the parties with the other MH is also a great idea and i'd definitely have to recommend this one over hipo.
WoW! So this is definitely the wildest of the 3 and definitely worth a look in for anyone who wants to have a bit of a party (you'd be a fool to stay here if you're just looking for a quiet night). As the others, this has got everything that a traveller could want at a hostel: great food, a great bar, great security, charging lockers, friendly, helpful staff, and every night a great party! Free drinks and t shirts for multiple stays at the different WRs too and who can argue against that!
A fantastic addition to the Wild Rover Threesome and although it probably is more the 'Mild Rover', after a hot day in the sun, more of a chilled vibe isn't always the worst thing but there is still plenty of opportunity for aparty if you're keen! As ever, a hostel designed by a traveller for a traveller and you'll find everything you want here. Well, except for a clean pool. No filter and no water circulation has left it a bit murky.... But sunbathing by it is still a grand old time!
A basic hostel but for the price you can't really complain. Not dirty but standard south american sort of cleanliness. Nice roof terrace though, which is always a plus!
Probably the best hostel i've been to across all my travelling! Fantastic set up by someone who clearly knows what travellers want and need. Sure, it´s not "hotel clean" but for a south american hostel, it´s near spotless! Great food, great staff and great atmosphere but on that know that this is a party hostel so don't go there and be shocked to hear there's still a party going on at midnight. Get involved!!
Fantastically friendly and helpful staff! Free salsa and yoga was an amazing addition to this place and thoroughly recommended if you stay here! Good location too
A really nice hostel and great place to have a few chilled days. LOcated 2 blocks from the subway is useful but does mean that you have to buy at least 2 subway tickets a day (approx 4k total) to get in and out of the centre. But totally worth it. Vince is an amazing hostel owner has loads of great information for you at the drop of a hat and is able to organise some great tours (the pablo escobar tour isn´t to be missed!) And a fantastic breakfast too!
A really fun hostel in a great location. Plenty of wifi and a good breakfast and facilities
A R$10 saving with an HI card which is decent if you've got one. The rooms are all pretty nice too & the kitchen well set out. Shocked at the lack of English spoken for an HI hostel (my bumballing Spanish just about got me through). The other slight disappointment was the free breakfast. Very nice food and very well presented, but only a very small amount of it. Not what i´d say most travellers are looking for! Right near the centre of town and near the docks for boat tickets to Manaus.
A really funky Bohemiam esque hostel, set amongst the trees with a really chilled area for relaxing! Dorm room was pretty spacious and clean although the kitchen area was a bit cramped and simple. Helpful staff though and well located. Sure you don´t get breakfast but there´s a shop right over the road meaning you could get the usual Brazilian hostel breakfast for the same price as the price increase to the next hostel
Washingtopn is an absolute hero! Nothing seems like to much effort for him and he´s always there to help you out and make you feel welcome! It´s not absolutely spick and span but it is more than clean enough although the kitchen facilities were a bit lacking. Near a big supermarket, plenty of retaurants, sandy beaches and an easy bus ride to the Old City. I´d stay there again.
I was there during carnival so it seemed a bt expensive for what you got but that´s just the season i guess. Normally i´d have said a pretty decent hostel although the staff didn´t always seem to be that helpful (in that they couldn´t be not that they didn´t try). They do pretty decent dinners but the chef takes over most of the kithen to do it which is a bit of a nightmare and the staff seem to have more food storage areas than guests! But right near Copacabanna a a fun place to stay!
A motel esque hostel which does the job of offering a cheap place to stay. Very near a supermarket and bus stop that takes about 40minutes or so to get to Disney.
A cool place to stay that is set up a good way for a hostel, making getting to know others easy. Just a few blocks away from the beaches of Waikiki and very close to food shops and the main drag where you can get buses all over the island. They also hire out a few surfboards at REALLY cheap rates compared to what they do on the beach. Friendly helpful staff come as a bonus!
Plenty of freebies but not necesarrily at the greatest of times. Takes about an hour to get to Downtown or Hollywood/Universal but only costs a couple of dollars to get to them. The free shuttle was very useful.
A nice enough place to stay if you can't score a cheap casino hotel. You'll definitely end up buying a bus ticket ($7 for 24hours, a good deal) so getting on and off the main part of the strip is quick enough. Friendly, helpful staff and ok rooms. I'd stay there again.
A nice play to stay to rest your head in a pretty good location but it's a newly converted hotel and so they don't have any sort of social area, making meeting people nigh on impossible and there are no kitchen facilities either. Otherwise, a friendly and safe place.
A really nice hostel and an ideal location. The staff were all really friendly and the hostel also put on many cheap day time tours and evening activities making seattle more much accessible and enjoyable. Free breakfast and a really nice free dinner 3 times a week too. Cannie complain at that! Only problem was that it wasn't that good for meeting people with many older people staying there too.

Does the job, some friendly staff. The internet is VERY slow and the breakfast small and simple but it does the job.
This place is the schizzle!! STAY HERE!! I've been to a lot of hostels in the last couple of years but this was my favourite! Not only is there free breakfast and interent, but also dinner!! And it's really good too!! The staff are absolutely great banter, so much fun! It might not be 100% spotless or secure, but it is as much as you need. And the location is great too! Fan-dabby-doe-so!!! :D Saty here or i will big mac your ass!
Absolutely nothing wrong with this place at all. Clean enough rooms, very friendly and very helpful staff. Close to the station and a few minutes walk to David and all the other major sights. Good news indeed
The main guy who runs it is really friednly and helpful! This place is in a great location, right in the heart of Venezia, and although might nt be fun, the rooms were very good nd the beds comfy. All you would want from a hostel.
As good as a hostel can get really! Decent, spacious dorm rooms (with kitchen facilities in them as well as down stairs), free coffee, free interent and a cinema room with hundreds of good and new films to watch!!! Definitely make time to chill out at the hostel, don't just waste your time galavanting around Budapest!
A decent enough place o est your head and good free internet access which always helps to make a place in my opinion!
