We did not find the hosts particularly helpful, they are only available for half the day to answer questions/help. When we did have an issue, the host was argumentative and unsympathetic to our problem and did nothing to help. The photos portray the guest house in a very positive light, lets just say that our room was nice enough, but it certainly did not look like the ones pictured. The bathroom was hot and humid, poor ventilation. There were also a number of potential small hidden costs.

Hotel was reasonably quiet and the room was nice and dark for those who may be jet-lagged. It was good that there was a shower and sink in the room, however there was only one toilet (out in the hallway) for the entire floor of guests. They also had an automatic air freshener set up in the hallway that sprayed a VERY INTENSE smell frequently, to the point where you would want to hold your breath when in the hallway. The hotel has a nice little cafe downstairs.

Jane and Paul, the owners, went out of their way to assist us, they were lovely. Paul even drove us to the Mont St Michel and picked us up when we finished. They also made good restaurant recommendations. Be aware that it is an old building and very creaky, not the owners fault, but it can be noisy. The only real fault is that the bed was very uncomfortable, so much so, that we had to put the doona down on the mattress for extra padding, so that springs weren't digging into us. Also no A/C.

Great location, walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. Spacious rooms that look exactly like the pics on the website. Comfortable beds and large bathrooms. There is a lift if you have heavy luggage. Staff are very helpful and speak English. Breakfast is not very good and not worth 10 Euro. Not much atmosphere if that is what you are looking for. Also was a bit noisy with people going up and down stairs. Would probably stay here again.

This is the worst hostel we have ever stayed in. Staff were not helpful or welcoming. The rooms were dirty and bare. The bed and pillows were atrocious, beyond uncomfortable. It is SO NOISY that we had to sleep with earplugs every night and were still woken up by groups of screaming teenagers running in the hallways. No internet in the rooms, no lift and many flights of stairs. It is very hot in summer, no air-conditioning. We had to go down 2 flights of stairs each time we needed the toilet!
