Very international hostal, run by an English/Irish lady, who's very helpful and social with her guests. Location is great, and everything is very clean. This hostal is perfect for groups of young people who want to meet likeminded peers, less recommendable for young couples who want to enjoy a quiet place together.

This hostal is owned and run by a guy called Tarik, who will be your host during your stay. He's definitely someone who understands hospitality, and he'll do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hostal itself is located perfectly in the medina, and not to hard to find. The room I'd say is normal: definitely nothing special. Good value for money, and with Tarik being your host, definitely a very recommandable plae for your stay in Fez.

We weren't too impressed by this hostal. Although the room was relatively clean, the bathrooms weren't, also, they seemed to be cronically out of toilet paper. Staff wasn't overly friendly nor helpful in finding our way around in Marrakech. This place is good value for money, but don't expect anything else.

The Midland Hostel

Bucharest, Romania
69%

Although our experience in the Midland hostal was good, I cannot say that its high ranking in HostelWorld really corresponded to what we've seen. There were only 2 plugs in an 8-person room, the doors were always open and the showers/bathrooms looked very improvised. Also, the location is definitely not as good as the rating suggests.

Hey guys, we're glad you had a good experience with us. Location obviously depends on what you're looking for - if what you want is only to see the bars of Lipscani, yeah, we're 15 minutes away by foot, but there are better places nearby like Eden (currently the hottest club in town), Molotov, and A1 very close. If you're looking for the whole package of Bucharest, we are definitely in the center, with museums (art, peasant, etc), Cismigiu Park, and train station all within an easy walk.

Our experience at this hostel was very good. Warm and welcoming staff, a nicely decorated common area, a clean room, good roomservice and comfortable bed and pillows. I would definitely recommend this hostel!

Excellent location, right around the corner of Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor, many nice bars and restaurants in the area. The bed was comfortable, but the room (2 person bed, ensuite), was very small and warm. Good value for money though!

The owner of this hostal is a Dutch guy, meaning that it cannot be less than really good. They have a lovely garden with a kitchen and a dining/relaxing area. Nice atmosphere and a good location.

Altough we only spent a night here, we had a pleasant stay at this hostal. We had a nice and clean room with a street/lake view. The hostal also has a restaurant and a bar that offers food for decent prices.

Very nice hostal with a good restaurant/bar (eat/drink on tap), nicely located just around the corner of the main square. The room was clean, however the floors and walls are wooden, so it can get rather noice depending on your neighbours.

Nice hostal, friendly staff. You're invited to treat this place like your home. It has a homely feel to it. Homely in a student/adventurous kind of way.

Very nice hotel, every room has a theme (a city in Nicaragua) and all common areas are painted with sceneric country sites and elements of Nicaraguan culture. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Unlike in many other places, they care about the satisfaction of their guests. Excellent breakfast in the morning. However, we were surprised that we had to pay for the laundry service, this is not included in the price.

Very nice hostal! Located in a nicely renovated colonial house, just around the corner from the main square. Very nice, relaxing and open atmosphere. Everything was well taken care of and they geniunely care about their guests by providing them with detailed information and some important security notices. The room was clean and the bed was good. There is also a bar/restaurant, however, we did not use this service. Enjoy your stay here!

Monkeys Island Hotel Ometepe

A very relaxing hostal, nice common terrace with hammacks. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The room was nice, and with the klamboe and partialy open roof it felt a bit like camping (not a downside for us!). However, getting here is quite a hassle. It takes at least 3 hours by bus from the little town where the boat arrives. Taxis take about 1.5 hours but charge 35-45 dollars. Take this into account when planning your trip here.

Excellent hostal. Very nice and helpfull staff. We stayed in a 2 person bedroom. Everything was very clean, bedroom, common areas, incl. the bathroom and citchen. Very homely place, there is a nice tv room, dinner room and a kitchen. Location is not really at walking distance from the city center, but there are very regular and cheap buses going back and forth.

We stayed one night in a 2 person room with bathroom. The room was extremely basic, but definitely sufficient. With the window next to a local bar, don't expect to sleep early.

Hotel De La Comete

Paris, France

Value for money. Definitely recommendable. The hotel is located right next to the metro stop and a MacDonalds. The room and the bathroom were clean. The staff, two elderly people, were really friendly. I am not sure if they speak English because we spoke Spanish to them. The lady replied in a mixture of French, Portugese, Spanish and Catalan. I guess it's fair to say that they do speak their languages! The only downside I can think of was the noice at night.
