The showers here are bad. In comparison to all of the hostels I have stayed at, this hostel is less than average, the only thing I liked about this place was the people I met. Hollywood is a total dive though so it depends what you're after. One good thing I could say is the hang out area in the basement is a great idea.
This place is fantastic! It's in a perfect location, right in the middle of the gaslamp district, close to public transport, restaurants, bars, shopping. It is very secure and there is plenty of room for your bags. The staff are amazing, very friendly, always around to help, speak amazing English, and really know San Diego like it's their home. The hostel has a staircase in the middle and plenty of places to hang out so it's easy to meet people. And it is so clean all the time!Highly recommended
This place is good if you want a quiet environment. It's occupied mainly by students so it's not your average hostel. The bunk beds are really squeaky though so it's hard to get any sleep. I changed my booking because it is a bit far from everything and hard to get to transport and the places that you do want to see in San Diego. But they do have activities available daily if you have no plans.
This hostel is fantastic for the location. If you love to surf it is the closest hostel to the best surf breaks in Queensland. If you don't, Greenmount and Rainbow Bay beaches are arguably the most beautiful beaches on the Gold Coast. There is a bar down stairs, but it doesn't affect the rooms upstairs. I was living in Queensland and this was one of my favourite places to stay for a weekend surf getaway.

Had a lovely stay. It was a great location, clean kitchen, excellent security, the bathroom was nice & clean, and the activities around the hostel were useful. I will definitely stay there again :)
