Hostel has cool design going through the whole place- beds and dining table made out of cool "shipping box"material, beautiful roof top terrace with jacuzzi. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Good breakfast with pancakes. Enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend!!

Had great time at Big Chill. It's like a home away from home. Truly. Location is perfect for the best beaches in Lagos and easy distance from town. Walk from the bus/train station is about 30min but easy. Beds are nice and sturdy. Showers and bathrooms are good!! Kitchens are well equipped!! And Paolo- one great guy!! Recommend!!

Hostel is easy to find, good location. Staff friendly and helpfull. Rooms are spacious, bunk beds are sturdy and comfortable. Biggest dorm is divided with a partial wall so the feel is NOT like "canned sardines". Hostel has well equipped kitchen! Theres plentyof cheap eats round town and the hostel offers a daily dinner too. Theres bathrooms outside dorms too so no need to queue for showers. Hostel provides a lot of information bout other destinations along bus times and connections. Recommend!!

Hostel is in a beautiful building on a nice and quiet street not far from anywhere. Beds are nice and sturdy. Breakfast, simple with toast and cereal, is included. Kitchen on the other hand is tiny and all the people trying to fit in there at the same time is a big mess! For the summer there are beautiful patio areas and sunny rooftop terrace for people to enjoy but at winter the space is very limited. You need to ask for your LINEN- theyŕe not given automatically. Can recommend! Value for money

Not too far from the bus station but by walking is not the easiest to find. Their dinners are decent for the price- mostly very convenient when returning from day trips. Not enough bathrooms. Staff good and efficient. Beds are comfortable! AC works!! Basic hostel with a very good breakfast!

Arcadia Hostel

A nice little hostel with a little kitchen for guests. The cheapest room option is 4xtriple bunk beds in a garage. Beds are very sturdy- so no problems when getting to the top bunk. Shared toilet and showerfacilities are in different floors then the cheapest room- but you get what you pay for! If want better room and facilities just pay couple of dollars more and upgrade to different dorm. Toilets and showers are kept reasonably clean and the staff working there are friendly and helpfull!

Jamrock hostel

Cartagena, Colombia

The hostel is not in the old town but in a residential area! Area is very safe and supermarkets close by. There is a beach just around the corner- which is more local then one on the hotel strip! Hostel has no sign outside but numbers are clearly marked. The place has more home like feeling than a hostel. AC in both dorms which is a nice touch in a hot city like Cartagena. Jon the owner is quite a character- gets very friendly with single ladies but all in all very harmless and helpful!

Booked 16 bed dorm- ended up in a 20 bed dorm. Didnt really mind- the room was divided into two parts. There were 2 showers and 2 toilets in the room- but nobody cleaned them during our 4 night stay and the facilities got quite dingy. Staff was nice and helpful.

Only few toilets for a relatively big hostel. Kitchen facilities are too small too for the size- fortunately the hostel wasnt full when we're there so we had no difficulties there. Location is very good! Close to all sights!!

Best value for your money! The hostel is very cheap. There issue with keys as you need to ask a member of staff to come and open the dorm rooms for you and sometimes they are nowhere to find. Beds are big and comfy and no signs of bed bugs. No lockers and placing valuables to hostel safe cost money. Laundry service very expensive- look for cheap laundrettes down the road (7000-10000kip)

They claim to have 24h reception but apparently it only works when you let them know what time you're arriving. My train from singapore was cancelled and I had to take bus from Johor Bahru which is a lot faster than the bus had been. I arrived good few hour before intented and before the seception opened- fortunately guesthouse next door was kind enough to ahve me there waiting and I even got a cup of tea!!
