The hostel was well-located and had some nice features like the roof top patio. No kitchen however. We were given an upgrade from a 5 bed dorm to a 3 bed dorm,, which was nice, except that the room was clearly intended as a private and so had no lockers.
Very nice hostel overall, a little out of town but in a nice area nonetheless. Only issue was that many of the motion activated lights in the bathrooms didn't seem to function properly.
A little far from everything... but there is a good beer hall across the street which makes up for it.
The limited hours of reception are a bit of a challenge given that most travelers are probably only staying one night to see the castles.
The housekeeping was especially poor. There were bottles and other trash from previous guests that were never cleared away during our entire three night stay. Also, the gentleman who was responsible for our check-in gave us incorrect directions and was unable to even properly locate the hostel on the map, leading us in the wrong direction and wasting our time in the process.
Fine facilities, but no personality.
Overall a very good hostel, only lacking for a common area of some kind. However, the highlight was certainly the owner Mabri who not only gave us a very thorough plan for each of the four days we spent in Rome, but also helped to arrange a house call from an English speaking doctor for my friend (who was quite sick) and assisted me in recovering my passport which I had lost while in France. The excellent and always friendly service was reason enough to recommend this hostel.
The air conditioning was not running and it was incredibly hot during our stay, but leaving the windows open meant we were subjected to an onslaught of mosquitoes through the night. I slept very poorly as a result. Otherwise, the rooms were spacious and the facilities were all very good. The breakfast was simple but the service was appreciated.
Perhaps a minor issue in this era of smartphones, but it has to be said that the computers in the front area were largely decorative: they seldom worked well enough to even allow me to check email. Otherwise, the facilities were quite good however, and the staff were friendly and very helpful to me during an instance of some distress.
The hostel itself - that is to say, the building and certain facilities - may not quite justify a 100% rating, but it is the wonderful atmosphere created by a world class staff that has earned them this rating, and it is well-deserved. To echo the opinions of others, this was a great place to stay in Barcelona precisely because everyone who worked there put in the extra effort to make it so. Most definitely worth a return visit.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hostel. Highlights included the bar (with some of the cheapest drinks you'll find in Paris) and the always busy patio area, as well as the breakfast, which mostly included your typical hostel fare, but always with great fresh breads and croissants. My only suggestion to the staff would be to install some hooks/hangers in the showers, since there was really nowhere to put your clothes.
The wifi was a little weak in our room upstairs, but otherwise this was a great hostel right in the centre of Kilkenny.

Perfect score for a perfect hostel. An excellent staff who create an excellent atmosphere. I couldn't imagine a better experience in Puerto Madryn. Thanks so much for a great time.
The plumbing needs a revamp. Other than non-functional showers, I have no complaints.
The staff were all extremely helpful and kind to me during a period of financial difficulty abroad. Any traveler who can relate to that sort of stress will appreciate the extra effort made to assist me. This alone deserves a recommendation.
Location can't be beat (half a block from the bus station) and there were a few other surprise superlatives I wasn't expecting, as well. The breakfast was superb and well catered for a hostel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Slept only one night at the hostel, but they let us leave our bags and hang out until late the following day since we had a bus at midnight. The rooms themselves were very clean with quality bathroom facilities. A great choice in Puerto Iguazu.
The hostel served its purpose for us - a place to rest our heads and leave our bags while out trekking. To that end they were happy to let us leave our bags in the lobby while we spent our second day out and about before a late bus. The breakfast (included with our private room - but not the dorms) was good energy to kick off the day, the bathroom was nice, and though many flies do indeed populate the common area, they didn't disturb our sleep. Same cannot be said for the neighbour's guard dog.
Our only real complaint (which was echoed by a number of the other guests we spoke to) was the heat! Please turn down the temperature a couple degrees, guys! Otherwise a really cool hostel with nice, helpful staff and a friendly environment, well situated in town.
Stayed for two nights in a twin private which was sparse, but all we needed. The room was on the top floor off an outdoor veranda - a nice retreat on a hot evening in BA . Internet access was next to nonexistent for two or three of our five days there (both for the wifi and the hostel computers), and the bathrooms/showers were too few for the number of guests. Aside from that, it was good value for what we paid and the staff were quite friendly and willing to help.
