Dockside Hostel Old Town

Stockholm, Sweden

The hostel was at a great location in the old town and the staff was very nice. The kitchen was quite small, but since the hostel is small, it was not much of a problem. All was clean, besides the showers that could have a little better. Since the hostel was small and seemed to mostly have private rooms (which we stayed in), the atmosphere was a bit non-existant.

A bit far from the center of the town, but not too much. Staff was friendly. It could have been cleaner, but the kitchen was quite nice and well-equipped.

Old Town Hostel Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden

It was in a really good location, about 15 minutes walk from the Central Train Station, and right in the middle of the old town. The staff was really nice and really accomodating. It was clean, the only exception being that the women's showers were a bit messy. The kitchen was way too small for the amount of people in the hostel though, we constantly had to wait to cook stuff. Also, they should buy more cookware.

Cochs Pensjonat

Oslo, Norway

It was more a hotel than a hostel, so the atmosphere and facilities categories do not apply as they were kind of non-existant. Aside from that, the room was very clean and comfortable. It was a 15 minute walk to the central train station.

Bergen YMCA Hostel

Bergen, Norway

The only downside was that the kitchen was a bit small for the number of people who stayed there, but it was manageable. Besides that, it was clean and very well located.

Arsenal Tavern Backpackers

London, England

For a 9 dorm room in London that was at that price, it did the job. On a low budget, this hostel works out ok. Unfortunately, there was no oven/cooking area, only a microwave. Also, the general atmosphere during the stay was kind of depressing. The bathrooms are not clean. But again, for that price, it works out fine.

Guesthouse Caminoro

Osaka, Japan

Other than the fact that it was not well located, everything else was perfect. The staff was super nice! Also, the place was crazy clean.

We wanted to try out a capsule hotel during our stay in Japan, and we picked the cheapest one. It was insanely cheap. For that price, it was really worth it. It was not clean though, and there was a serious lack of facilities (showers mostly). Also, very well located, right in the middle of the city.

bAKpAK Gion Hostel

Kyoto, Japan

The staff was really nice. Good location, next to the subway. Good atmosphere with a nice kitchen/dining room. It was really cheap, so very much worth the money.

The main critique of this place was the cleanliness that needed a huge improvement. Also, for people who don't speak Japanese, it was a bit hard to communicate with the staff.
