Just a short walk from the magnificent Dom in the main part of town. Literally a one minute walk from Messe-Deutz station, and a tram stop which is highly convenient. The breakfasts were extensive and of good quality - fresh bread was made on location each morning! Although not a 'party' hostel, if individual travellers are looking to meet other people, it is possible in shared rooms and in the breakfast area.
A quaint little hostel a short distance out of town that has everything you would need for a night or two in Dusseldorf. Breakfast was very standard but enough for the backpacking/budget traveller. There were plenty of places within the hostel to 'chill out' - multiple rooms with couches, seats and tables. Overall the hostel has enough, and is colourful and unique for it to stand out from many colder, standardised youth hostels.
This hostel is a gem on the edge of Amsterdam's beautiful Vondelpark! It's close enough to the museums, sites and good pubs/clubs in the city but gives you the chance to have a good nights sleep at the end of a busy day. What more could tou want! It provides discounts for canal tours and some museums, has a bar (perfect for drinks at the start of the night) and its breakfast is extensive and yum!
A short walk from the main sights in Rotterdam, but a great, chilled atmosphere in the hostel. The staff had a good, local knowledge of the city and they were willing such share with all their guests.
Right in the heart of Antwerp, the hostel is GREAT location wise. The rooms are clean, large, and the free breakfasts are standard but just what you need! The only downside is the lack of WIFI in rooms, but I guess lingering around the foyer area of the hostel is one way to meet other travellers whilst using the internet facilities!
Great, clean hostel. Ensuite in shared female dorms made it feel more like hotel quality accommodation. Staff meant well when helping/giving advice but often were vague and in the end less of an assistance! E.g. Sent me down a shifty end of town at night when I asked for the closest supermarket.
St. Christopher's was literally the perfect hostel that caters to all the wants and needs of budget travellers like myself! Positive notes include the curtains on each of the beds for privacy, the bar downstairs where you have no trouble meeting people, especially for a solo traveller, and the close proximity to the station. Kudos to the happy, attentive staff who provided local tips on places to shop, eat and sightsee outside of the usual Eiffel Tower/Notre Dame Paris experience. Loved it!!
Mrs Long and her family were so helpful, to the point where they helped carry my bag down the street to the bus terminal! Like others who have rated before me traveling on their own, I felt right at home here!
