Safestay is a really excellent base if you are spending a few days in central London. It's extremely clean, all facilities and amenities are tasteful and in good condition, and is relatively good value. It's not your typical party hostel, but is very well suited to families and more sedate travellers. The atmosphere is very much like a hotel, being fairly quiet and relaxed. I've stayed here a few times and can highly recommend it.

Saphaipae Hostel

Bangkok, Thailand

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. The entire place is clean, comfortable, and cool. Decor and furniture is extremely modern. Decent cost for a night in a dorm with A/C, and there is a great range of facilities - free WiFi, pool table, television rooms, laundry room, in-house restaurant with good food and good prices. The location is in a quiet but very accessible location, although away from the usual backpacker haunt of Khao San Road. Highly recommended.

Mazz Homestay

Negombo, Sri Lanka

Perfect location for a late-night arrival into Colombo Bandaranaike. We stayed at either end of a short Sri Lanka tour, and found Mazz to be a friendly and convenient place for getting to the airport. If pushed for time I would recommend crashing out for a night, and taking your time to make the long (and hectic) journey into Colombo.
