Aesthetically the hostel is beautiful, but on a few levels it's not that practical. The rooms all open onto a courtyard where people gather before going out, and eat breakfast. It's very noisy, even late at night and early morning. The hostel is in a very central part of town so you can walk everywhere. 6 bed dorm was nice, lovely bathroom. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you like an early night or a sleep-in. Or at least bring industrial strength earplugs! Lovely staff, very helpful.
Awesome place in the middle of the old town, but down a quiet lane away from the noise. Had a 6 bed dorm with an amazing bathroom (clean and spacious). Rooftop terrace is a lovely spot for a few beers. There didn't seem to be any kitchen facilities - a fridge and a kettle would be good. That said, the café next door serves great (and cheap!) food, coffee, beers etc.
Had a single room with ensuite. Very comfortable, with TV, wardrobe, and a clean bathroom, with towels provided. Amazing value at 30 euros. The bedroom had windows that opened onto a narrow but fairly busy pedestrian pathway so it was pretty noisy all night - no sleeping with the windows open! For location, the hostel is pretty unbeatable, right next to the mosque, and easy walking distance from bus stops and other sights.
6 bed bunk room was ok. It would be helpful for the top bunks to have a light and shelf for water, clock etc. Hostel was easy to get to and in walking distance of everything.
Loved staying here! The 8 bed dorm was huge so there was plenty of space between each bed. The lounge and kitchen area was a really nice place to hang out and meet other people, and the hostel is located so close to a subway stop. That said, it's also an easy walk to central city. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Josko is an awesome host! He is fun to hang out with and he knows Split and further afield really well. I had such a fun time staying at Split Guesthouse.
Loved my stay here, once I found the place! I strongly recommend that you take up the friendly staff offer to pick you up and take you to the hostel which is in an unmarked apartment building. None of the locals know it, but once you get inside, its Shangri-La, complete with an ice cold welcome iced tea. The hostel is small but very friendly and relatively close to the old town. Thanks Majdas for a great stay, if too short!!
Fantastic stay at Villa Divine - Renata and Ivan are amazing hosts. At first it seems a little far from the Old Town but it is a quick bus ride with regular buses. You get the best of both worlds - a quiet place to sleep and the Old Town in easy reach. LOVELOVELOVED the massive breakfasts and little treats through the day - didnćt buy lunch any day I was there coz I was so well fed! Thanks so much to the Villa Divine crew. Ićll tell my friends to stay with ypu! Rachael
Djoko and Nino were awesome hosts, and the hostel is in a great place close to the lake. Beds are comfy, but 2 of the 3 showers are a problem - either cold or no proper spray coming from the nozzle. But when youre swimming in that gorgeous lake every day, its a small downside in an otherwise cool place to stay.
