We stayed in a 3 bed private room with ensuite- the room was clean and had a large balcony. Great to enjoy the ios sunsets! This place has a pool but its quite small so we didn't bother swimming here and preferred to get the bus to the beach. Good atmosphere here and great location- stumbling distance to/from all the best bars and restaurants in ios!

We had a great stay at Mama's pension! This family run guest-house is right on St Stefanos beach and the staff are so lovely. Ana and Christina were friendly and willing to help at all times. The guest-house has access to the pool next door which had amazing views and was great to relax after a day at the beach. The main town is a bus ride or 30 min walk away. Great place if you want some peace and quiet.

We had a great stay at the hairy lemon! Run by the lovely Annette (who treated us like family- even buying us kebabs when we were too hung over to move!), this place has a great atmosphere and is a min walk to the beach. Good value for money- highly recommended!

Very helpful staff! Great atmosphere at this hostel, with lots of outdoor areas to hang out and talk to other travellers. Easy walking distance to all the sights in Tirana. Also has a convenient shuttle to Kotor in Montenegro (with Old Town Hostel). Highly recommended!

He had a great stay at this hostel- the staff really make it! They helped us organise hiring a car (for a great price- thanks Bobin), transfers to Albania and organised pub crawls. Great location- across the road from the beach and a short walk to the old town. The hostel has lockers, is clean and comfortable. Only thing that could be improved is having better wifi in the rooms- in saying this, it works well in the comfortable common room. Good place to get to know other travellers!

We loved our stay at Haris Youth Hostel- the staff are lovely and there was a great atmosphere at the hostel. We took a daily tour with Haris which was amazing value for money and was very thorough and interesting. We finished the tour with a pretty good idea of Sarajevo/BiH's complicated recent history. The only downside was the massive hill we had to walk up every day to get to the hostel! On the other hand, this meant we could eat more Borek :)

Good location about 5 min walk to the old town and Mostar bridge. We did the tour with Dino- good value for money and very interesting. He was not your typical tour guide but answered all our questions. No lockers in the rooms but the hostel itself is very secure. No common room/area to hang out with other travellers. Good value for money.

We had a lovely stay at Kate's guesthouse. We were welcomed by Kate and her husband (who spoke little English but were lovely!) with coffee and biscuits on the balcony. The accommodation is spotless and well maintained. Kate did a load of washing for us for free and we enjoyed the stunning views from the balcony and did some cooking in the kitchen. Only downside is location- bus needed to get to the old town. However a daily ticket is cheap (30kn) and efficient.
