The hostel and part of a hotel, you have the staff were great. Not one complaint. The staff were friendly and always cleaning, the beds are real single beds with nice mattresses and not the thin Ikea type pads. The pillows were good too, not the thin lame ones that some hostels have. Because this hostel is part of a hotel, you have many added benefits like luxory of having a swimming pool and a very large and clean kitchen where you can cook your own meals.

I spent three nights at this hostel and it was perfect in all ways. The hostel is family run with much warmth and kindness. Joshua and the SeƱora make you feel extremely relaxed and at home, ready to help in any way. The wifi and all other amenities are excellent, I'll be back!

All of the 100% reviews are no BS. Simply the best and least expensive hostel I have ever stayed at in my life. Location, cleanliness, layout and breakfast. A hostel where you shouldn't plan to stay just one or two nights, but many...Josh G.!

This was my second stay at the hostel and it was great. The hostel is all you need in Colombo at the best location, in fact it is the only decent hostel and especially compared to the YMCA dump. Hasan, the owner and Deen the receptionist are both great helps. It is a new hostel and the kitchen and TV room were just being completed and it is a nice arrangement. Tip: to and back from the Fort, just take the bus no. 100 for 15 Rupees, sure beats paying 400-700 for a tuk tuk!!! Enjoy...

Nice hostel which was pretty big, reminded me of a hospital but the staff were great, A/C worked great, good breakfast but weak coffee, more like brown water which could be improved by possibly adding some instant coffee on the side so we can spike it, those who need their caffeine. Great value for money and Francis was a great guy who was very helpful. Good value for money in an expensive city!!!

The Clock Inn is a great value for money place in a great location. Very close to all the sites in Colombo and right across the street from the Majestic Shopping Center. Just tell that to the Tuk Tuk driver when you arrive in Colombo Fort area. Deen at the reception desk is a great guy, full of information and very helpful in every way. This hostel has no breakfast but we are saved by the Golden Arches about a 7 minute walk from the hostel. Very clean, good A/C, exactly what you need in Colombo.
