Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Friendly and helpful staff, nice spacious rooms, large common area and relaxed atmosphere. Only negative was only having 2 electric hobs in the kitchen, otherwise everything else was great. You can't help but meet great people here.

Thanks for your feedback. We'll look into getting more stovetop space for the kitchen. We appreciate the suggestion!

Stayed one night. Staff were friendly and helpful regarding arranging transport to the airport etc. The rooms had good sized lockers. The kitchen could have been a bit cleaner but I think this is more down to certain individuals then the hostel. It's cleaned daily.

Stayed for one night. You get what you pay for with a YHA hostel and this one is no exception. Great facilities and a cleanliness that can only be dreamed of by other hostels. It's a pretty big place but it seemed sociable enough if your not looking for the homely feel.

Stayed for 2 non-consecutive nights. Good location and one of the best social areas I've come across. Spacious but with lots of character including wood burning fireplaces. My main suggestion would be to add a few more pans to the kitchen selection, currently there are more hobs then pans!

Really friendly and sociable atmosphere. Quite a few people working in Australia staying there but they're all really friendly and able to give you good recommendations on what to do while in Sydney. The location is also great, only a stones throw away from the botanical gardens which are great for a wander down to the waterfront.

I had an amazing time. Friendly staff who make you feel welcome and loads of opportunities to socialise with others people staying in the hostel, via the common room and hostel organised events.
