We have enjoyed our stay very much even though it was already beginning of October as we still managed to go for a swim and enjoy the sunshine. The facilities in hostel are very good but as it is written on the hostel website you do need to take bus to Split if you want to have a choice where to buy groceries. But bus goes twice to town so that was easy. The hosts are very nice and ready to help and also just chat with you. We will hopefully be able to come back again.

We're sorry to say but we did not expect the place to be as it is. We only book it as it was close to O2. However, there wasn't hot water in shower. We could hear every word from couple next room, all doors made squeaky noises and we were in part of building where floor is tiled so imagene the echo when doors were closing and people passing by. Instead of having TV in every room, owners should spend money on decor, cleanniness, make it look like one place and make it more welcoming.Good luck

The location of hostel is very good, it's very close to St Stephen basilica from where you can go wherever in the city. Stayed only for a one night but if we stayed longer I am sure we would know what to do as Anton has lots of information about Budapest. He is very friendly and helpful, he has also took us to a train station. He is a really good cook too. There is a common room, kitchen, internet but you need to ask for towels as those were not in the room. All the best wishes.

As we have stayed only 1 night because of the early flight,we decided to stay in 'dormitory' room. After staying in this hostel I'll never do that again. When we came in, 'our' beds weren't ready because someone was sleeping off their hangover at nearly lunchtime so cleaner did not come. In the night, the 'very young guests' weren't bothered that at 1-2 am, it would be normal not to keep whole hostel awake and rather get out. With 'reception' guy sleeping on sofa, there wasn't option to sort it.

Sandor is really a nice person. We have really appreciated his suggestion and advice where to go even though we have been to Budapest previously. The location is great, who wouldn't like to stay next to the one of best 'pubs' in Budapest. We have been in two bed apartment so not much possibility to meet other people and also without our laptop we would not be able to get to internet. Otherwise apartment was well equipped and even had a hairdryer;-) So if first time in Budapest, go here.

I have arrived with my friend very late yet one of the guys who manages this hostel has been waiting for us. We liked the colourful decor and also the kitchen where we could prepare the food. The hostel was very at the very good location, just beside the metro and Parliament and also good Mexican restaurant across. However if you would like to meet and socialize with fellow travellers, I would recommend slighly larger hostel. This one is for people who prefer quiter places.
