This hostel is amazing and the staff are wonderful. You feel like you are staying more so in a Friends-style apartment rather than a hostel. As a solo traveler, it is literally impossible not to meet people. Hard to leave! You feel like you are leaving behind a new group of close friends.

Great atmosphere, if travelig solo you will meet people here. Very hard not to! Courtyard is very relaxing and the rooftop has a great view of the sunset. Lots of reviews complained about paying for wifi, its only €2 for your whole stay. That being said though, they do like to nickel and dime for little things like that. The staff are all lovely, Jamie and Lydia at the bar are great to chat with!

Fantastic location, right across from the Acropolis and just down the street from the metro. Very clean, excellent A/C. Loved the balcony in the four bed room!

Great place to stay in Bari, especially if going to/coming from the ferries. The hostel is just across from the port in the old town. The owners are wonderful and very informative! If you arrive clueless about the ferries like I did, they will be able to set you straight no problem :)

Upon checking in at 1pm, they offered everyone a free shot. Definitely the ideal location if you're looking to party. Otherwise, not your place. The all female dorm is very nice and separate from the main party building. No wifi in the female dorm though!

Its a place to sleep and that's about it. Very basic, shower is above the toilet, the staff will wake you up to drag a fourth bed out from under the one you're sleeping on. However, it is surprisingly quiet for the Termini area. A light sleeper would fair better here than in other nearby hostels.

LOVED this hostel!!! Amazing view, beautiful town, spotlessly clean, wonderful owners and the perfect set up to meet life changing friends! The atmosphere could not get better. You will be doing yourself a disservice to not stay here. Oh the food is great as well :)

I did not stay in the main building, but in their rooms in a neighboring building. Very easy to meet fellow travelers! If you're a light sleeper, the noise outside may keep you up. Constantly a bang from a garbage truck or screaming drunks outside. But that is something to be aware of for the Termini Station area in general. Only complaint is I noticed the blankets are not switched out between guests... the maid simply folds the used ones back up and puts them for the next guest.

Ostello Corniglia, Cinque Terre, Italy

Lovely little hostel. I preferred staying in Corniglia due to its quieter, more personal nature. There is a common room, but no one hangs out in it. I would definitely recommend the shuttle from the train station. I thought the reviews were exaggerating, they are not. The walk up is several hundred steps, which is not ideal with a big backpack! Lol!

I loved this hostel! I stayed here and at Isaac's hostel and I much preferred this one. As a solo traveler it was much easier to meet people. The bathrooms are huge, spatious and very clean. Location couldn't be better, it's right across from Trinity. Also very quiet at night, unlike Barnacles hostel where you hear people vomiting outside all night long

I loved this hostel. Nice and quiet, but perfect for meeting people. Bathrooms are very spatious and incredibly clean. The owners are lovely people and very helpful. They offer rides to nearby Glendalough for 15 euros. Absolutely no complaints.

I liked this hostel, the lounges in the tunnels underground were very cool. Atmosphere is lovely, staff is great. Only complaint I can think of is that the showers smell AWFUL sometimes and the sinks are so small its impossible to wash your face. As a solo traveler I noticed the place attracts groups of friends and couples, so despite the cool atmosphere it was difficult to meet people. Everyone just sits around on their phones/laptops. There is a GREAT breakfast place just around the corner.

Thanks for your great feedback . Usaully Isaacs is a really great place to meet people so may be just during your stay there were fewer solo travelers than normal- but our staff will always talk to you ( we can't shut them up !) We will check out the bathroom and drainage for any maintenance issues as they should not smell, Sorry if you found the sinks too small- that is a first but we will certainly add to the list when looking at upgrades.

This was the best hostel out of my one month trip. Its a beautifully decorated hostel, feels more like a palace! Staff are lovely, great breakfast and good meals as well. Great place to meet people!! Book this, you will not regret it!! The guided tour of Fez is well worth it since Fez is incredibly difficult to get around. The guide was in an extra cheery mood for us, but I've heard others complain about having an awful tour when he's in a bad mood lol!

If you can get another hostel, do it. The dorms have bunk beds with no ladder or railings whatsoever, so you step up/down by using the tiny square of an end table intended for the lower bunk. This doesn't help of course if your lower bunk mate has actually used the end table and placed all their belongings upon it. Shower not at all convenient when it has absolutely no curtain or door separating you from the open 12 bed room. And no soap anywhere! Guess we need to bring our own hand soap?

Loved this place. The charm and character of the house really add to the experience. The staff were truly lovely! It is slightly outside the main part of the city, but this is not in the least an inconvenience since it is between 2 very close underground stations. If traveling alone it IS harder to meet people since almost no one speaks in the common room and it is frequented by enormous groups of teens/school children. Curtains on the beds are AMAZING, wish they had them in the 4 bed rooms too!

Fantastic Hostel! The place is incredibly clean (they have a daily lock-out between 11am and 2pm to clean the whole place), the staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were great. This is a great hostel to meet other people at, they have an "aperetivi" hour at 6:30 where you can join in on the group discussions going on. The location could not possibly get better, when leaving the front door the Duomo is exactly to your right, right in the city center. Not at all a party hostel
