Brussels Hello Hostel

Brussels, Belgium

We only stayed in Hello for 1 night. It isn't in the centre of Brussels but then the city is so small it doesnt matter at all plus it is a stones throw from a Metro stop. We arrived in the rain and late at night and left at 8 the next morning so didn't really experience a lot of the hostel. But the staff when we checked in where friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy (for a hostel) Showers - alright like a leisure centure so no control but hot

Breakfast - good and it's free Staff -The the staff that night were slow and unhelpful and just not good. Though some of the other staff were very nice Only one plug in dorm for 6 so stupid No way the direction wereright (asked in a McDonalds at 1am) Yes it is 'Gody' but actually apart from writing on walls you wouldnt know. If you arent into it (we werent) stay away from the common room at half 7 (bible time) Showers need to be cleaned more though (but they are fine - bring flip flops)

Hotel Atlantide

Venice, Italy

We only stayed one night so chose to stay on venice island itself. It is super close to the station. You dont check in at the hotel (which is a couple of doors down in a very small road/wide alley) but at a hotel on the main street. The decor was interesting (carpeted red patterened walls) but water was hot in the ensuite. Security it's good - key to room and key to main door but no staff around. you can leave your bags for free before check in and after check out Air con was broke
