This is probably the cleanest hostel I've stayed in and I've been to many. Everything is new and it is very well organized though maybe lacking a bit of character. There are two computers and a little kitchen. The location is very central and staff is nice. Very good value for money!!!
If you like nature, beautiful views, mountains, peace and quiet, animals, hiking, relaxing or getting a genuine Romanian experience this is your place. It can be a bit tricky to get to Villa Park, but it is definitely worth it. Villa Park is more like a homestay and it is very cozy. Magura is only an hours hike from the famous Bran castle and there are lots of other hiking trails close by. Joseph, the owner is very generous and friendly. This place was one of the greatest experiences in Europe!
I only stayed for one night, but seemed like a nice place. It's definitely very clean and the staff is very friendly and will help you with anything. The breakfast included is basically just cereals and coffee or tea. The 12 bed dorm is rather loud because you can hear everything from other parts of the hostel through the door. I don't know about the other rooms.
It's exactly what the name promises: cozy. It might even be too cozy, because you'll never wanna leave. The dorms are spacious, there's a balcony in the other one and there are lockers for everyone. The common room is THE COOLEST COMMON ROOM I'VE EVER SEEN. It's huge, nicely decorated, very cozy of course and there's everything you can ask for to spend a lazy day. The location is perfect, it's right in the middle of the city The owner, Marius, is AWESOME. Definitely the best hostel in town.
An amazing little hostel in a beautiful small city. The breakfast is completely self-made and therefore delicious. The rooms are clean and beds comfy and the atmosphere is brilliant like in many small hostels. The building is one of the prettiest buildings in a street full of beautiful buildings. The little balcony is the best part and the view from there is just stunning.
Basic hostel with everything you need. There's plenty of laptops for the guests to use. I'd like to say that it's a nice hostel because I had a good time there, but the thruth is that it's rather dirty (especially the kitchen). Also the staff didn't seem to have updated knowledge about ticket prices and trains etc.
Great hostel! The staff is awesome and the dinner
Perfect small hostel. It's very cozy and warm and clean. There's a nice little kitchen and a living room and a computer for guests to use. There's also big lockers in the rooms. Best part is Vladimir, who will answer all your questions and help out a lot. And he's also a very nice person! I definitely recommend this hostel if u like small and comfy hostels!!
Awesome hostel! Staff is very helpful and I had some nice conversations with them. The staff helps with everything you ask. The hostel is easy to find and the location is perfect. Very clean. Two computers for everyone to use. The kitchen is well equipped and always clean. Common area is comfy. Rooms are nice and there's big lockers. It's also warm inside and the water in showers is warm/hot when needed (very important in March) There is a bar downstairs so it can get noisy, so bring earplugs!
Great place to stay! It's rather expensive but worth it. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The common area is cozy and beautiful. And breakfast included! The best part though is the staff, especially the nice lady. She was extremely helpful with our travel plans.:)
Nice hostel in the "backpackers area". The staff is friendly and the dorm was ok, good value for money (AC in the dorm). There's only one bathroom upstairs where the dorm is which can be a bit annoying. We booked two tours through the hostel and they were really cheap compared to others (but also very touristy).
Great hostel! It's a bit far, only 15 min walk to the pub street and this will guarantee you a good nights sleep. The dorms and private rooms are clean, big and very comfortable and the staff is fun and friendly. We also stayed at Velkommen backpackers in Phnom Penh and that has been the best hostel during our 4 month travel!! The staff is the best. Be sure to try their norwegian meatballs, they're great (comfort food). :)
This is definitely the best hostel in town! The staff is awesome and will help you with anything. The dorm is clean and spacious and the private rooms are very fancy. The only bad side is that the bathrooms are downstairs si if u get the dorm upstairs it's quite a long way to brush your teeth.. Free tea and coffee is available and there's one computer u can use. The terrace is also very nice. If u go to Luang Prabang, this hostel is the place to sleep!!
Nice hostel and friendly staff. Great and cheap tours. The free beer is awesome! The breakfast isn't anything special but it's enough.
The rooms aren't the cleanest but they're alright. There are computers in the lobby and the internet is fast. The "rooftop" is just the 4th floor, but it's nice. The happy hour is awesome though! It's not about the free beer but it's great to have everyone from the hostel to gather up and have a conversation. We booked a tour to Halong Bay and it was amazing, though we were tricked in the hostel when they said we'd have free drinks with food even though you actually had to pay even for water!
Staff is very helpful, they let us stay after checking out and use computers and take a shower. They also helped us book our train tickets and had great tips about biking around. The bikes are cheap and good! The rooftop was also great. We had a double room which was almost like a hotel room. The breakfast was excellent (not included in the price). There is no kitchen for guests and I would also advice you to do your laundry elsewhere because it is extremely expensive in this hostel.
The hostel is a bit far from the "centre" but the city is small and it only takes 15 minutes to get there. We enjoyed staying further from the main road because it was more quiet and calmer there. The hostel in itself is perfect! The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We were supposed to have a 4 bed dorm but the hostel was overbooked so instead we got two 2 bed rooms and a big living room for ourselves! They'll do laundry for you cheap but beware, they have trouble with hot water sometimes.
The hostel is actually just one spare room with six beds in a man's flat. It's almost like couch surfing but u have to pay. The beds were comfortable and clean enough. Otherwise the place is rather dirty and the kitchen is a mess. It's possible to do laundry but it's pretty expensive (R150). The hostel is very difficult to find (without a kind local guy we would never have found it) but it's close to the centre and u get your own keys so u can come and go as u wish.
Very clean and nice. Staff is helpful and speak english well enough (which is not obvious in russian hostels). Well equipped kitchen, lockers for valuables (rather small ones but they're for free) and luggage storage. And its within walking distance from Kremlin etc! You should know that if you need to register your visa (if you stay in Russia more than 7 days), it is not possible in this hostel. Excellent value for money!
The breakfast was great! The rooms were clean though rather small (we had a dorm) but there was a bathroom in the room which was very convenient. It is close to a very nice park and the area is calm and it's close to the centre. I have nothing bad to say about this place and I would definitely recommend it to others.
The hotel is far away from the centre, though it is easy to get there by metro. The rooms are dark, damp, small, dusty and hot and everything looks very old. For this price one would expect a lot more and I wouldn´t recommend this place. For a budget traveller it is good enough, only the price of a room doesn´t quite match.
We only stayed here to rest and sleep but it was excellent for that. Very clean rooms with airconditioning. It was also just around the corner from the main train station. I was very surprised to get such a high quality hotel for so little money! And the breakfast was the best one we have had in whole of Europe by far. Very good value for the money. Just remember that this is a hotel, no social facilities or doing laundry.
Cute place with character! The rooms are big and beds are comfortable. It is very clean and the breakfast (included in the price) is very good. The best thing is the staff! Phil was very helpful, answering all our questions and giving us directions and great tips. It's a bit further away from the city (safe and calm area) but it's really easy to get there by bus (they go 24/7). There is no AC in the cheapest rooms, but that doesn't matter. If you go to Rome, you should most definitely go here!!
Definitely worth visiting. The rooms are very clean and actually new and cool. We even had AC, our own bathroom and very comfortable beds. The breakfast is alright, just juice, coffee/tea, bread and cereals. A beautiful place!
