The Walrus Hostel

If you appreciate a good night of sleep, go elsewhere. There is a very busy train station right next to the hostel and the beds are uncomfortable. It's an old building, so the facilities are not great, but the staff keep them clean and neat. Also, they are genuinely cool people, which attracts a good & fun crowd to the lovely bar downstairs. They are located in a very central (albeit pretentious) area, close to touristic sites and the tube. That being said, I loved my stay & would recommend it.

Way Hostel

They have everything you can expect from a good hostel: clean and spacious facilities, comfortable beds, security system, daily activities such as parties and tours (if you go there, make sure you do the walking tour with Erica, she's the best) and helpful, knowledgeable & friendly staff, especially Batista, Mateo and Jaco (the fact that they are super cute is just a plus!). Gracias por todo!

Aquario Pousada - Hostel

Ilha Grande, Brazil

The hostel is lovely, very well located with characteristically decorated rooms. Although the staff was very kind, I am obliged to point out that they were a bit negligent and didn't speak english. Since we took the last boat to Ilha Grande, we arrived after 10pm and there was no one there to tell us which room to go to or even open the door to us. After browsing the whole hostel for someone, a lady eventually showed up and gave us the key. Also, the breakfast could use some improvement.
